PS paintbucket HELP

OK in PS CS when i want to use paintbucket to color a part of a image the whole screen is filled with that color i lowered the opacity and everything but still it covers the whole layer not the parts i want. i cant color big parts in manga with out the bucket, normally i use brushes to color and i formated my PC, before i formated it worked just fine please help and REPs for you

That means you have gaps in your line. Or if you're doing individual layers you can't use the paint bucket. You would have to do the brush.

I dont think that is the problem because i used the same manga chapter i colored before with Paintbucket and it cant normally it just colors the part i want it to color like the HAIR 1 click and the hair is colored now i cant

Well can you try it i just tried in this pic and still it covers the whole screen
You must be registered for see images
I was right. Look at the areas where I circled. They're not closed. So if you want in a few I can close the lines or what you can do is set the brush size to 1 and zoom in. And close the lines yourself.

OKAY are u in a new layer?
if so, the paint will color the entire new layer, so when you are coloring, either u color on the original picture, which is the layer labeled Background, or you make a duplicate layer of that picture {Ctrl+J} and color on that, which is was u should do, in concern of if u wanna change something.

or maybe thats not the issue, so then it has to be the "open parts" like that dude above me said.

You are right it only works in the Background layer thanks but last time it worked on every part
