Yeah I agree on that. But protesting at this stage won't stop the WC. They need to vote out politicians who are too(cause no politician is 100 % corruption free) corrupt during elections.

If you had thousands of people blocking the streets of the WC stadium, it could easily be stopped, though probably not an effective measure of getting the power back into the people hands.

Ironically the nut is from Australia

Yeah, for us the previous left wing government left a gigantic debt in our economy(always happens when they get in power). Because of the shocking condition of the economy, the current government was forced to make so many cuts to the economy in various areas(that have caused an uproar). SMH

Irrelevant, it's still a big problem that needs to be sorted out. But I wouldn't expect that concept to go through your thick skull, since all labor ever does is spend,spend,spend,spend.....(it was the same last time too, the howard government inherited a gigantic debt from the labor government) Unless you want the economy to keep going downhill........

Our debt is nothing, and it's something you need to understand. 11% of our GDP is nothing at all, considering the average debt of the OECD is around 70%.

You do realise that Tony has spent 200 billion dollars in less then a year?

You do realise that our debt is only like it is now, because Labor saved us from the GFC by stimulating the economy. Or would you rather that we turn out like America, with huge unemployment, huge debt, and heaps of inflation?

Of course like most Libs, you resort to personal attacks because you know your argument is inferior.

Do you even realise that there is more debt in our system, then actually money flow. How do you expect we pay it off? It's an unrealistic option to have an economy in surplus, simply because it brings everyone standard of living down, just like it did with Howard.

The only difference is that, Howard actually knew what he was doing, and wasn't some Murdoch puppet trying to further some agenda.

What positives are there in the budget? None. Absolutely zero. How does it make sense cutting 500 billion in spending of the next three years (that's half our GDP)? It doesn't, it's all a political move by the Lib. And people know it, that's why the budget won't be passed, and Tony will be removed from power.

Watch the video by Clive Palmer, and you'll understand.

You realize in the height of the recession America peaked at 10% unemployment right? There are 300 million Americans compared to 22 million Austrailians. 5.8 percent of the current Australian population is currently unemployed(America is at 6.3%). You can't compare the needs of 300 million people to 22 million. but in terms of total population, 6% of 300 million is a lot less of the total population, than 5% of 22 million.

It's good to see you fail basic math, and understanding. Maybe you should go back to school?

I'll spell it out for you, once again.

Current Australians unemployed: 1.8 million (5% of 22 million)
Current American unemployment: 18 million. (6% of 300 million)

How is our unemployment higher as a total? It's not. What system does America have to get people back into the workforce? None.

Your arguments are inferior, and you know that. I've asked for this thread to be locked as it is going nowhere, and way off-topic.

1.8 million out of 22 million is a bigger hit than 18 million out of 317,297,938

That 5 percent means more to the economy that the 6 perent of Americans. Get it?

America has systems that keep people out of the work force that you most likely support

Wow, another one. Is Thomas the only one you can rely on to support your arguments? Can't you think for yourself?

Welfare in Australia doesn't do that, because to be on government support, you actually need to do stuff or you are removed. Like, Study, and Work for the Dole and actively search for work. we also have systems in place, to make sure that these requirements are being followed. Sure, it's not the best solution, but it helps support people trying to get into the work force, people that want to further their education, people that are made redundant at work.

What about Mothers, with young children that can't work. Or the elderly, that have no other means of income? Are you saying we should abandon everyone, to help make the rich richer?

I'm not even going to correct you on your other point, if you can't see where you've failed, that's your problem. I'm not here to baby you.

you only need to be poor to remain on welfare in america.

How can you not see that 1 out of 22 has a greater impact than 18 out of 317?

in the end of the day you only have 21 producing where america still has 299. Obviously America can sustain a greater percentage of unemployment(thought this massive gap is actually only one percent) because of its larger population
