prostitution is one of the oldest occupations in the world. it is disgusting in many ways. selling yourself to any number of people for profittable gain, the number of people you mate with is grossly set out of proportion. It turns making love into a scandal and is not healthy for a person mental or physical. It also shows lack of self pride, and shamelessness. Where is your pride if your willing to sell yourself, but you could just pursue a real job and apply for goverment aid? How do you tell someone how you make your money? how do you live with yourself knowing 15-100+ people have been with you sexually for money, and you didn't know anything about them?
Sexual interaction is a gift, not a business and should never be sold. it should be shared with the 1 person you decide deserves it, and will be there for you when you need them.

I personally woulnd't hire a prostitute, just wouldnt feel right. And I can see how it could be unmoral and degrading, but I see nothing wrong with it. Now, I can see the issue if you were forced into it, or something of the sort, but some people just love ***. regardless of how much someone enjoys ***, they can enjoy it with 1 person. When people prostitute by will, it is sincerely disgraceful. Has that person truly hit rock bottom? there is nothing left in the world that that person could do to make ends meet, that they have to sell themselves? take all the legal prostitutes in the world and tell me why they wouldn't qualify for their government's aid, or to enlist in a branch of military? I truly believe that prostitution is extremely mentally unhealthy. i couldn't see anyone being satisfied with their lives if they literally woke up everyday just to be sexually taken advantage of. Is that truly their purpose in life? to be a *** puppet? and you can look at it as "well they're making people happy and making money. whats the big deal?" There are hundreds of other ways to make people happy that dont include selling your body to them. Think of the majority of men who purchase prostitutes. Single, undesirable, unhappy with their own life, probably wishing they had someone special to go home too. Why not get a real job, and if your that generous and concerned about other people's happiness levels then you can try and hook them up with one of your friends or something.

I think we ''men'' should respect them at some point. Prostiturion is "the world's oldest profession" it can be beautiful and it can be ugly BUT what they are doing is providing and satisfying men who are not capable or would never be able to have ''***'' for what ever reason.

I see prostitute once a day simply because for me to get home I have to cross a street that is full of prostitutes... the ones on the streets are f*** ugly but you can also get escort/gentelmens clubs and from what I know it's expensive but model looking girls.

Now if your super ugly/old/hyper shy loser or what ever you are... you still need this ''satisfaction''

Back in the 70's when I was in the Navy I visited Thailand and the Philipines several times. There prostitution was legal and there were girls called "card carriers" who had access to base medical services. In Thailand alot of hookers were hill girls who were trying to earn a dowrey so they could marry well... It's not like here where I get truckstop lot lizards banging on my truck door to ask if I want company.. most of them are crack or meth addicts pathetic really... there it was more like rent-a -wife... get screwed silly get your laundry done shoes shined and cook dinner for you. We have saying here regarding this matter, which roughly translates to: Some by need, some by greed......

You see some women/men are not willing participants at prostitution .... they are often people who are exploited and forced into this shady side (just research comfort Women a lil and u will get an Idea) and similarly often there are people who have no other way to put bread on the table and has to sacrifice their pride at the alter of their need for survival . . . . and ofc there are certain people who just enjoy what they do, they are the disgusting ones.

A better question: Would Prostitution as a profession survive in a descent society?
