Yeah it created quite a uproar in here ..... but strangely enough according to nearly anyone of that tribal sect none have ever heard of such 'punishment' (boils my blood to say that) being ever given even in the old days, traditionally excommunication is the punishment (the highest possible punishment that can be meted out by the elders) in this case. So what spurred those animals to actually break tradition for the sake of tradition? I think its the shitty upbringing and lack of education and awareness.

Religious/cultural sects' members were most likely indoctrinated since the moment they started walking as to make adults that follow dumbass beliefs and sick moral standards without question. As usual, the female is nothing more than cattle.

huh! well all we can do is say that it's pretty sad but it's not and there is no solution since country is being influenced by European culture and everybody wants it to be that way....! nobody cares about religion if he/she can earn good money...! same is the case with bribery....! it's a bit lesser sin but does anybody cares when they are getting money...! and i disagree a little with the excuse for prostitution that they don't have any other choice...! there is always a choice...! no matter how hard it is but there always is...! people take the easy way out and that's why girls choose prostitution...! i was watching a documentary and a girl ran with her boyfriend in karachi who left her after spending a night with her in a hotel and then the manager referred her to an aunty saying she can't return to her family now because she has disgraced them and the girl became a prostitute later on...!
but there was no need for her to run away with a boy....! she thought that boy loved her more than her parents, now that's the worst possible thing a girl can think...! so she had a choice, and she choose prostitution....! and for poverty, there are a lot of ways to earn halal rizk...! the thing is nobody wants to work when they can earn easy money...! they can work in other people's homes as cleaners and earn good money but that won't be as much as earned via prostitution...! hence it's greed not the necessity or poverty etc...!
aur mujhe ni pta tha yahan itne pakistani hn...! i'm amazed....! :)

Blaming politicians and not raising children to be decent men just creates future corrupt politicians (and customers) doesn't it? As u mentioned, the existence of customers from the ancient ages is the undeniable proof that it cant not be eradicated by the authority (unless they fight fire with fire), the human society as whole must change.

Funny thing you mentioned, can u notify me of a politician who openly supports prostitution? U cant can u? .... That itself is the problem, this is practically a disease that festers in the dark and thus must be cut away at the source.
i agree with this....! it's a self act and it cannot be eradicated by authorities till people actually start considering it a bad act....!

and i disagree a little with the excuse for prostitution that they don't have any other choice...! there is always a choice...!
Indeed, there is, but since some girls have stated, even during the jobs most of the workers there, the females one in general are prone to be sexually assaulted as such cases have been reported (mostly in Pakistan, as I've noted this from experience myself) including the co-workers and the boss try their best to sleep with this certain "girl" for promotion or to join the job, whatever of that sort, so one call girl claims if that's how it is, then isn't it better to be a prosititute? Which is common, but in the Muslim society this is actually haram and completely stains the chasity of the women. but indeed there is a choice, many people work their assess off, many people and women earn the money by working even if they get paid little as 300 rupees a day, working in legitmate ways to earn money, they obviously shouldn't be left as an expection, but most of the time, since the uprising of poverty, many women join traditionally, since their moms and grandmothers were prsotitues and they enter the business as well. Some join since they can get a heck out of it, like for instance if the women can't find a job in which she gets paid enough to support her families financial needs, some join cause their kidnapped and forced to work and sold to the landlords, You get my drift.

nobody cares about religion if he/she can earn good money...! same is the case with bribery.
This is the problem, if you're not even gonna follow your beliefs correctly, and peform the major sins the religion itself holds, then why even bother calling yourself religious?

they can work in other people's homes as cleaners and earn good money but that won't be as much as earned via prostitution...! hence it's greed not the necessity or poverty etc...!
They can. But from a Muslims stand point, they should most obviously know it's wrong, and extremely wrong to be involved in such activities, and since you seem knowledgable on the matter, you should also know that how much person becomes ruined and destroyed from eating "haram ki Kamayi" even when they know it's one of the major sins to their following religion then why even bother dressing up in appropriately, following Islam, when later on your just gonna get naked infront of your clients, that's completely hypocritical. in the Muslim religion, a Muslim women chasity is to be protected, the reason she dresses up is because she can avoid sexual attractions and remain away from doing such acts, until she's married ofc. Not only are these girls eating "haraam" their also doing zina, both which are major sins to their religion. One of the biggest. So yeah, it's obviously the greed, or like I mentioned, probably force, blackmail, or just one simple choice a women can make.

The poverty in Pakistan is so much that people have little time to decide on what's wrong, especially one women said she was divorced and had a child, and she was doing it because she wanted to support his need for school, clothes etc, she was very tender hearted. And said (most of the women do) they hate doing it, but due to the state and crisis and amount of income they're earning, they revolt to this. I really do sympathise for these women. I really do. The cops instead on containing this, are entirely involved and run this business.

aur mujhe ni pta tha yahan itne pakistani hn...! i'm amazed....!
LOL I'm pretty amazed myself tbh.

Are you sure? Last time I checked the Taliban threatened the government for the same exact cause you just mentioned. It's an Islamic country, why would everyone want it to be that way? Obviously not. that's why the PTA closed and banned porn and sexual sites in Pakistan including many western websites, Right? Obviously they don't want it that way.

what is prostitution?
Might as well not mention it here, google is your best friend.

i agree with everything else more or less but not this statement....! Taliban aren't pakistan's representatives....! and yes it is an Islamic country and Islam says that Sin is attractive and i'm just elaborating this statement. Yeah PTA banned porn websites but are they really banned?? there are hundred ways to access those websites and i'm pretty sure you know a few too....! and as i have been saying, it's the people who need to change not the authorities....! and if you think Pakistan culture is not following and copying European culture then you are my friend in denial...! haven't you seen latest fashion trends in pakistan??? it's clearly going form clothes to no clothes....!

They might not be, but it doesn't stain their justification, they have a sole purpose, the claim many legit Muslims as kafaar, and yet the whole nation is following in their footsteps. And they can't see act of kufur being committed around them, Their reason for sending the letter of threat or whatever you wanna call it, was to establish the Muslim shariah laws. As being an Islamic country including the society it should be followed, or the country isn't representing their religion correctly, it's only by name we are Muslim then, which is the initial cause of deformation, perhaps pack of education, lack of Islamic teaching, and the western influences drive to this. Quade-E-Azaam found the state on Islamic principle, so Muslims will be allowed to preach their religion with freedom, not just Muslims everyone will. And I find it funny which isn't happening and leading astray.

Yeah ofc I do, lmao. But the reason was that they tried from blocking even YouTube from Pakistan to be accessed. to avoid them to drive away from their religion, and look at sinful things, they did try they rest is upto to the people, it's relatively easy to access blocked sites using VPN and proxies.

But not all people know what VPN and proxies are in Pakistan lol.

and as i have been saying, it's the people who need to change not the authorities.

I never said they're not, I mean, it's becoming more prominent, especially in The large provinces, indeed they do, I'm not even a legit pakistani myself, but copying ways from another country and claiming yourself Muslim is a little anti patriotic. You wholeheartedly know what your religion tells, and the republic you're in, yet you still carry on doing things which are major sins, accounting the republic itself is Islamic while the citizens are influenced from western cultures. Like you said, it's the people who should change.

It indicates over all deterioration of community as a social conditions, lack of empathy, perversion, and other similar issues along with poor upbringing and lack of proper education. The current male female ratio also doesn't look favourable here. (950 females for every 1000 males).

Frankly we might have give more rights to women in the eyes of law but earlier if they were seen as a secondary citizens, now media more often than not promotes them as sexual objects and glamorizes it. For a large population nothing has really changed. They just traded one sort of discrimination and inferior status for another.

There was a time when Billa Ranga case was a big deal. But in past 15 years incidences of attacks on females are rapidly rising. Part of it maybe that now everything is on news channel 24/7 but sometimes I feel even that negatively inspires some people giving them more ideas. I wish our channels kept it objective and didn't present such stories in dramatic ways.

And it's not limited to the sub continent. *** tourism is common in Europe and USA has it's name among top nations where crimes against women are common enough.

On the original topic- well.. yea but prostitution has been among the oldest profession in the world they say. If you impose complete prohibition even then they would come up with some sort of contract marriage for a few hours with a pre nup nullifying all the rights as a wife or so and find the way around. At best you can work on minimizing the exploitation and forced prostitution.

It's just too big a business and too many powerful people involved in it at any given point. I recommend Mrs Warren's profession by Bernard Shaw. It's nauseatingly near to the truth.

Not being moralist here- just a realist.

Prostitution exist in most south Asian countries although it's illegal in most of them , i don't know about other countries , but in my country , prostitution is illegal ( don't believe what wikipidia says ) but it still continue in name of massage centers and casino centers and women that come to cities for jobs are subjected to prostitution by their agents .
there was one incident , a young girl that came to city for a job through agents ( they have promise her a high salary ) in so called massage center , she was forced in to prostitution but luckily for her the client was a undercover police spy , who's in disguise to investigate the rumors spreading that there's a brothel running in the name of massage center , most of the girls come to city for jobs through agents that subjected to prostitution are not lucky like her to escape from these kind of incidents .

which country are you from?? you said you aren't a legit pakistani...! and you are pointing out the very things we debate on everyday...! yes we are muslims and yes we do belong to Islamic Republic of Pakistan but both of these concepts are hollow and we although knowing what is right, don't want to do it....! i know that's how societies are destroyed and this and that but everybody thinks what can a single man do....! and then they do nothing and get on with the life purposelessly...! and our religion says that sins attract you and believe me i have tested it more than anything....! it's basic human nature that he wants to do what he is not allowed to....! although that is called nafs what we are supposed to control but people don't give a damn about that anymore because it is difficult....! and you may not know it but Talibans are in no way related to Pakistan. Our army is fighting against them....! they are killing Pakistanis and i know some Pakistanis justify them are righteous people including me to some extent but such people are very low in number so nobody is following in their footsteps, it actually is the other way around and when we get down to it, they are killing us and we are killing them....! They are Pakistan's enemies even on international forums....!

Well I'm not born in Pakistan, I am living here for a while, I've spent most of my life on England.

yes we are muslims and yes we do belong to Islamic Republic of Pakistan but both of these concepts are hollow and we although knowing what is right, don't want to do it....!
That's the way society deems it, the whole concepts of Muslim culture and stuff is being ruined, I can't say I'm gonna complain on the matter but certainly, just one man looking for answers while the others don't care isn't going to resolve anything, it's a common saying, unity is Strength, unless the people want to establish Islamic principle everyone has to work on restoring it.

i know that's how societies are destroyed and this and that but everybody thinks what can a single man do....!
Correct! A single man can't do anything as it is now, cause of this, many people don't care, it's not just about Islamic ways, but cheating on other people for only 50 rupees is downright selfish and greed, shunning kids, having authority and superiority over the poor and enslaving them, and other things, the Muslim law is one thing, these things are the other. The people themselves need to look and prevent this. Obviously not one man can cover all this up.

our religion says that sins attract you and believe me i have tested it more than anything....! it's basic human nature that he wants to do what he is not allowed to....! although that is called nafs what we are supposed to control but people don't give a damn about that anymore because it is difficult....!
You think I don't know that, ofc they're tempting, very tempting my brother. This has been mentioned in the Quran over and over, a true man faithful to god wouldn't let sinful acts or temptations get the better of him, and lusts overwhelm you, if he truly fears the afterlife and allah he would be afraid of the upcoming, not what happens in the world, but on the day of qyamaat, which the Muslim religion itself says, not me.

But nevertheless I'm not gonna be hypocrite and say I've never done stuff which isn't sinful according to my religion ofc I have and everyone does, it's common in today's society and yes, since the Islamic rule isn't as strict, so. I smoke, listen to music, watch porn (I'm not even gonna lie), dress in torn jeans and cool looking shirts, yes, it's hard. And I do agree with you. But doing acts like sexual stuff and things in publicity is another matter. Which is completely haraam, sin and haraam are different, I'm not against women dressing fashionably, it's done even in my family, but it's about the girls who do zina and such haram acts is what concers me the MOST! Allah does forgive every sin, but obviously sins vary, you're point is actually good, what's the point of dressing up in an Islamic tradition, praying five times a day, when you rape people, fo fun. So yeah, I think these things like dressing fashionably, are better compared to that.

you may not know it but Talibans are in no way related to Pakistan. Our army is fighting against them....! they are killing Pakistanis and i know some Pakistanis justify them are righteous people including me to some extent but such people are very low in number so nobody is following in their footsteps, it actually is the other way around and when we get down to it, they are killing us and we are killing them....! I don't support the Taliban, I go against the concept of killing, especially your own fellow Muslims. Which even the Quran forbids. They are enemies, but their ideals of restoring Islam is somewhat justified. Have you seen the mujra videos, they're ****ing disgusting. Why would the women do that?

..is it true that women are sold there like properties? and what do you mean by "Patan"?
Well sometimes yes, there are four provinces in Pakistan, which separate people, patan, punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi. In the N.W.F.P the people are called patans, with different language and accustoms, but they're still Muslims.

I'm not intrigued by the Taliban fascists nor do I support their ideals. My initial purpose of stating is, you might even virtually comprehend the fact that Taliban said themselves by sending a later indicating the full restore of Islamic and shariah laws since the country isn't even correctly following their own beliefs. Despite the fact they stain their hands and spill the blood of innocent people and their fellow Muslims. Which is wrong. Which brings me to the question why do Taliban slay, and claim they want to establish shariah and Islamic laws?

You see it yourself, hypocritically praying infront of people to make yourself "stand out" doesn't define Islam, if you're just gonna commit acts of haraam later on then there's no point in showing yourself as a Muslim since that's not what Islam teaches it's followers, and nor is the true defination of being a Muslim, which is the reason why many Muslims in the world are portrayed as terrorists, rapists, and murederers, since they can't even follow their own beliefs correctly, even in the slightest, who's acting a hypocrite and does the act of zina, adultery, rape behind the curtains, and impersonates himself as "strong believer" is hypocritical. Which is the common case in Pakistan, as I've seen from experience.

each individual is a problem in this case. Not all obviously because you have people such as ourselves who do not and would hopefully not engage in some activity...but you have plenty of dirty old ungodly men who would participate in these activities. If they would make it punishable by law to do this, then things might get better but just like we could suspect its the people who should be protecting these girls and families that are keeping the shit going (cops, politicians, fathers, brothers, etc) its messed up and karma will get these men back somehow.
