Before I begin, if you haven't read the latest chapter don't go any further.
So from this chapter I feel as though the parallel between Obito and Naruto in regards to the prophecy may have lead us to think they were the main pair. However, after the reunion between Minato, Kakashi, and Obito we see that Minato says that the original person who understood Obito the best was Kakashi himself and not Naruto.
After seeing this, Minato looks to Naruto and says "Right?" then with a blank stare Naruto looks at Sasuke not knowing what to say.
On a side note, Kishi did the same thing with Naruto vs Nagato in regards to sibling students having similar views on changing the world. They had different paths as well.
Would it be fair to say that the prophecy all along has been talking about Naruto and Sasuke? After hearing Kakashi talk about seeing life through the same eyes as Obito does it make sense that those two were the original parallel all along? Share your thoughts, I'd love to hear them!
