Proper chapter length?

Hey. Just wondering, what would be a decent chapter length? I used to write 1500-2500 word chapters, and those seemed well-received on Narutobase, but I was asked to make longer chapters on Fanfiction.net. I tend to now write 3000-4000+ chapters now, which seem to well received on FanFiction, but all I recieve on Narutobase is 'Tl;dr' images.

It variates a lot!! I've always been writing huge chapters on here for most of my career, but despite how long they are, new guys will always say that they are too long, while my readers will complain that they are too short. Nowadays I tend to write shorter chapters, but that's basically because I feel that my new story fits having shorter chapter better. Length doesn't really matter as long as it's not too short really. That's my opinion at least. And that's coming from someone who has experimented a lot with his own writing. I've even extended 30 000 words on several of my chapters before, and some of my readers have demanded that I wrote all my chapters that way, haha. Just find your own way and the style that fits you the best
