Itachi's raw speed would be enough, his own Amaterasu [which he uses more intelligently] can do more damage to Sasuke. And you do know that part 1 Itachi packs the Susanoo Yata and Totsuka, right?

Not really. Suigetsu said that sasuke pre MS only defeated orochimaru because his arms were sealed. Orochimaru, not so long ago, said that currently, he could't beat sasuke, because ems sasuke is stronger than him. I would find the scan, but I'm on my cellphone and it would take too long with my slow internet. But I'm pretty sure orochimaru said that. Check the part where it shows taka and him in konoha and reviving the hokages, it's somewhere in that part.
