Naruto also got soloed by Pain and costed a Sage's life.

Kurama saved him. Hell, even Kurama would of been defeated if Minato didn't magically appear to save them both and refresh Naruto. Naruto needed Hinata too.

As well as fighting the trio of summonings and the two Sages, Pain had to deal with Naruto (whom he beat) then deal with Kurama (whom he beat) then deal with a fully healed Naruto again. It wasn't right. Pain should of won the whole thing. Tbh, Konan could of killed him when he confronted Nagato, but she didn't. He even said he had no chakra left. He soloed them both with TNJ.

Pain was protected by Plot, else naruto could have end Deva path and Preta path early in the fight. the entire thing revolved around Naruto meeting Minato.

The Naruto at that time would've lost if it wasn't for 9 tails.
Why?

He ran out of SM chakra.
If he didn't have Kurama he wouldn't of healed the numerous stab wounds either.

If he didn't get pinned down and stabbed like 8 times and still had SM active he could've won without Kurama though.
