they wasn't able to see how kakashi moved underground because he was to fast, they noticed it it the last moment and were able to react to him in the last sec due to there dojutsus.

Event hough they were able to react in the last sec, combined with a ration clone this fast underground shunshin is a sureshot against many many strong opponents (excluded Gods), because Kakashi goes underground and one second later he appears behind you out of the ground and even if one is able to react the lightning clone will paralyze the opponent a second later and after that an other clone or the original kakashi can come out of the ground finishes the deal with a lightning Kunai.

The last st he used in that fight paralyzed him. Pain was probably holding back most of the fight because he had Intel from deidara that Kakashi was Narutos sensei , and thought he could get information.

Pain had intel on Kakashi while kakashi had to fight for his intel, which has put him at disadvantage.

I think you misunderstood my post, i didn't want to talk bad about pain, i just said pain had to use shinra tensei, his best defending move.
It is not his only attack he has yahikos abilities and jutsus, but of course he will use his best jutsu.
Pain never underestimated an opponent, he always shows them his shinra tensei, because its the most fast way to reach his goal.
