Proof for Reincarnation?

This would seem to be evidence of reincarnation, but the question rises as to why this little boy remembers his past life, but not anyone else?

Hmm,... Basically, the theory is that the soul doesn't reincarnate till it's over it's past memories and what not. It only takes it's karma to next life. Only those who born a bit too soon by sheer luck after their past life remember it.

Secondly, most of the people who tell stories of past life are victims of violent death usually- accidents or murdered people somehow. So it is also believed that, the impact of it is a bit more than the natural death on soul and related memories.

Reincarnation don't exist, it gives grounds to humans being naturally immortal and dead aren't truly dead, then why mourn at funerals??

Humans die. Make no mistake. Theologically body is made of five elements- earth, water, wind, fire and ether and when someone dies the elements go back to their original form. The reincarnation theory believes that it's the soul which keeps traveling from one birth to another, evolving all the time, till it finds Niravana or Moksha or finding it's true nature and realizing that it's part of the supreme soul etc. (depending upon dozens of different schools how they define the relationship between the God and the soul).

PS: in this theory every living object has a soul and is part of the journey.

All I'll say on this is that earth life is a series of actions and lessons. Once you loosen the bonds to action you stop reincarnating.

That video doesn't make me believe in it nor disbelieve any more or less than I already have. I heard of reincarnation, and knew that there were some people that supposedly possess memories of their 'past life'. I just assumed these kind of stories exist; be it true or false. Though I didn't know people who supposedly been reincarnated were victims of tragedies, so that's something to take into consideration when I decide to study into reincarnation myself.

However, when I tackle concepts like this, I obviously want the truth. Meaning, an objective view. To do this, there are certain facts I establish first. I start with the basics, who is saying this? Why are they saying it? And how did they observe it?

From my knowledge on the concept, reincarnation is a soul moving from one life to another. But why do people think this is so? Because people have had memories of their previous lives. However, another dimension beyond our understanding must obviously exist for this to happen, this is what's incapable of being observed. And failure for lack of those observations have a significant role in the concept of reincarnation, if it was something minor I would brush off it, but it's not. What if some souls (if not all) go to a place and converse with another? What if there's some sort of dimension where a bunch of souls hang out and only come into this world for an experience and return with a 'Hey, it's your turn" kinda thing. What if sometimes those experiences that were told to us from another soul carries on into our life? Like a dream, like a kid who listens to his grandfather's war experiences and then falls asleep and dreams about it.

The above is just an example by the way, reincarnation could very easily be different from what a lot of people think it is. It's just something I keep in my mind whenever I hear about it, it's very easy to follow others views and be led down the wrong path right from the beginning.

Stuff like this has actually happened to me though. When I was a kid, me and my family went on a trip(somewhere we had never been before), and I was sitting in the back seat and telling my parents what was up ahead, and of course, freaky as it is, I was right. Stuff like that has happened other times as well, but I don't have much recollection of it.

I'm an atheist, but you really can't debunk a persons religion, it's faith based, there is no evidence for there religion.

Yeah, I've watched documentaries about this before. They're fascinating, but the children were most likely influenced by things they saw or heard at a very young age when their minds were developing. We all had obsessions with things we liked as young kids.

As much I'd like something as amazing as reincarnation to be a reality, I don't think it's real. To me, we're just complex biological organisms, no soul, just a pile of atoms.
