Why is it that over 75% of these bands names sound extremely similar ? l

Did the one up and coming band that proceeded the first one before it just use a thesaurus to find a another synonym for one particular word from their band title ? lol

Its either that or they seemingly have the exact opposite theme going for their title lol As of they saw the other names and used whatever popped into their heads first lol

it was a kingdom to giants,born to osiris,monuments and strucutres were casted in his glory speaking volumes of his work,through the veil of maya the word was still ailve and carried out by the great warrior adestria,maya would dream of a world with peace why looking up at the stars,but oh the sorrow ! it would never come true,she was a just a dreamer,it was here she came falling contorted in agony at the footbed of the sea adestria would not be coming back,in the cold drk night the blood ran black as another hero died.

If you like between the buried and me, you should listen to their other band, "prayer for cleansing" also. They cover a "cranberrie's" song called salvation. It's definitely worth a listen.

ROFL wowowowow that was really funny and not bad hahaha. but still, some of the similarities or opposites are alright, some are not. Dream on dream definitely does not mean or is opposite of i see stars. Dreams do not mean you see stars. you can look up and see stars. you can get hit in the face and see stars. you can dream and see anything. since a dream includes anything, then every name of every band or anything else that has a description is similar to dream on dreamer.

unless their band or group or artist is simply their own name. Then you can say "Rofl, all these bands/groups/artist are stupid because they all thought the same thing.....USE THEIR NAME FOR THEIR BAND NAME LOLOL"

... so yeah. The reason they seem similar is because there are a good amount of bands i listed. Its inevitable that something will be similar. especially the more you add to the subject. The chances increase. That stands for everything.

Games for example have retarded similarities. Each new fps is just like another fps, or rpg like another rpg, or action just like another action, or adventure like another adventure game.

how about movies? Tons of movies are similar, each genre has been played out with minor differences and major similarities between all of them.

Simply, names/ideas are limited, so the more people use something to label or describe or create will become similar no matter what.

I'm actually from North Carolina, and between the buried and me are always playing small venues here. Once again definitely give hacksaw to the throat a listen. There song dilated is great. One of the only bands to blend acoustic and metal. It's fukin epic.

Northlane: I don't like them, even though they're Aussie and I'm Aussie, don't like the clean vocals.
Dream on Dreamer: Sometimes, I enjoy them.
I See Stars: I do enjoy their new album, that's about it. New album is more electronicore then anything.
Periphery: Love them, they are great, don't you think they are more Djent then anything though?
August Burns Red: Only one or two songs, I like.
The World Alive: Love 'em. More just metalcore then prog metal/core.
Haste The Day: Again, only the one or two songs.
Miss May I: They are awesome.

yeah i meant the title with progressive metal/core like some are progressive metal, and some are metal core. Yeah i agree some are a little different genres. djent is incorporated in many prog metal bands so i didn't feel like it would matter what i labeled it. umm, i only heard the new album from i see stars because a friend told me to try their new album. Thing is, i tried their old stuff a long time ago and wasn't a fan, but the new stuff is not bad. and yes miss may i is awesome. Love periphery. word alive is great. dream on dreamers new album is shit. i recently discovered northlane and i like them. haste the day has been around with me for a long ass time, i like their style, its unique to me. august burns red has a lot of songs that really sound similar to each other since they don't really change the way they do things ever. No singing or any other effects, even so, i still like pretty much all their stuff since i admire their instrumental talent and i like some of the lyrics, even if they like to repeat some stuff a lot.
