(Genjutsu: Mikkoku Kurouido) Illusion Technique: The Betrayal of the Black Widow
Rank: S
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs 3 handseals and creates a genjutsu that latches onto the opponent's brain, gaining control of the user's chakra. It will suddenly and powerfully make the opponent fear his own jutsu, which will translate in seeing the jutsu transform into something menacing or deadly to the user. For example, turns a dragon fireball around and has it attack the opponent, turns an earth armor into a spiked one, where the spikes grow inwards instead of outwards, etc etc. This only works on jutsus of the same rank as the technique. Genjutsu specialists will be able to affect 1 rank above. As the genjutsu kicks in, the target will hear a loud church bell ringing on their ears, and they'll see their jutsus stop. Then, a few seconds later, a second ring will be heard, and the jutsu will turn on them.
In case of the Kurama, the effects actually become real. By latching itself on the part of the brain that controls the chakra, shortly after preforming the technique, the genjutsu will have the opponent resume the contact with the jutsu and have it's own chakra reshape, re-manipulate the jutsu into what the genjutsu is creating.
*Affects 1 person per usage*
*In case of the Kurama, the genjutsu is short-ranged*
*Can only be used once every 2 turns*
*Can only be used 3 times*
*Kurama's restrictions only apply when the Inner Demon is activated
I believe I did well in teaching you my technique. You're a good student. You were right on all accounts. The church bell is a nuisance, but it was the way I had to restrict the technique to meet it's approval.
Now, for the questions:
Yes, if the enemy is not using any technique, the genjutsu will stay dormant until they do. The genjutsu deals with having your opponent fear their techniques, so you do not require mastery or knowledge over what technique you're affecting. Flight techniques can be set to fail, leaving the opponent in midair for the first churn and have him fall to his death for the second churn. The second churn will disrupt their concentration, the maximum effect of the genjutsu, and so, they will fall in reality as well as in illusion. As for modes, no. The genjutsu will accommodate chakra bursts, but only to a certain extent. The type of burst produced by the Kai technique or the opening of (At least S rank) Inner Gates will break the genjutsu. Healing is another type of chakra burst that will break the techniques, as long as it is at least S rank, the illusionary effects otherwise, would be wounding instead of healing, I would say. The real effects would be a disruption of the technique or a forceful infusion of chakra, which burns the flesh (But breaks the genjutsu). Sage Mode are tricky business, as the infusion of Natural Chakra breaks a genjutsu, I would advise against using it. The illusion effects of a Sound technique could be turning it's damage on the owner. The actual sound technique will have no such effects in reality. About Shadow clones, it depends. If you use the technique before your opponent makes them, then the genjutsu breaks (I would believe, but I never give it a thought). If after, you'd need to pinpoint the real opponent. If you're able to do so, and your opponent uses no other technique meanwhile, then yes, your opponent would see them turn on him. Yet, in reality, they'd still be normal and unaffected, so you'd still have to worry about them, and they'd be able to free your opponent.
