Itachi returns to his friends. They've been discussing which way to travel as they waited for him.
Itachi: Okay, where to now?
Keiko: To be honest, I have no clue. We've been following Jugo's trail this while time, now it's just gone.
Minato; Forget our destination for now. The sun is setting and I'm gassed out. I say we get some shut-eye.
Keiko: Yeah, because it'll be so comfortable sleeping on destroyed stones and what not.
Minato: Geez, Keiko. Turn down the sarcasm a notch.
Shindo: *whispers* Great, the two oldest are also the most immature of us.
Aizu: I know what. Let's just ride the river, maybe it'll lead us to somewhere that's relevant to our mission.
Itachi: I'm cool with that plan. It's not like we have many options, anyway.
Minato: Sounds good to me.
The exhausted heroes head for the nearby river. Aizu jumps on the river first, sits down meditation-style, and places his hands on the surface of the water. Then, the others hop on.
Aizu: Alright, guys. East or west?
Keiko: Doesn't matter to me. How about you, Minato?
Minato: *snores*
Aizu can keep everyone afloat without them even controlling their chakra to do so and he can even keep them from getting wet, which explains how Minato can fall asleep on top of a river. Aizu is as skilled in controlling water as Gaara is at controlling sand, earning him the nickname "Aizu of the Lake". Though, his reputation is only known in the Hidden Leaf Village.
Keiko: *chuckles* Nevermind then. Itachi? Shindo?
Itachi: Doesn't matter to me either.
Shindo: Too much pressure..Aizu, why don't you just decide?
Aizu: Okay, east it is.
Shindo: Are you sure that you'll be fine without resting?
Aizu: Yeah, I'm sure..
Shindo: (Oh yeah. He's been having nightmares lately...Aizu, Itachi, stay strong.)
Itachi, Keiko, and Shindo fall asleep as well. Aizu remains awake to avoid frightening nightmares and to control the river's currents to carry them east. The first, long day of the prodigies' mission is over, but the events of that have taken place this day will be like a "walk in the park" compared to what awaits them.
