Well I don't believe they are, but people gave me convincing theories that they might be. But imo they originally belonged to Indra and Itachi found them in a hidden location. I can only see someone with Hagoromo's Yin being able to create weapons made of spiritual energy.

Yata Mirror was said to be able to to neg[GLOW]ate any attack. Susano'o isn't a defense that cannot ever be taken down, everything has a weakness. Yet Itachi's Susano'o came with a shield with no background information on how he received it, nor information before it was shown that it was actually in his arsenal.

Exactly my point, it saidit could negate but it didn't negate(block) anything that susanoo couldn't in that fight. lol the purpose of asspulls or plot weapon is what it do in the scenario to help the author progress the plot but like I said kishi could've easily got rid of yata in that fight and the result would had still been exactly the same. it's simply there just to make itachi look more badass, I don't consider that an asspull. maybe if itachi lived but no, he died :lol and i think I've said this before, itachi never fought all out before, he quickly soloed his target relevatively easily, usually when people label ones with asspulls it's when they obviously used most of techniques then suddenly they use this random new ability, but let's face it. itachi basically one shot all prior fights with Mangekyou. Now if you said asspulls like izanami, I'd be more inclined to agree but totsuka it can be an asspull (answered your question) but it's justifiable if that makes sense. if it doesn't I understand.

I feel that both these abilities were simply ass-pull because Kishimoto needed to make Itachi deflect Sasuke's Kirin 'logical' with that shield, and of course you stated that Totsuka blade just served a single purpose as in saving him from Orochimaru's curse seal.

Which again is just primarily just plot working into play. I'm not dissing Itachi, because he's not the only character who had strange powers to fit the plot. But I'm pointing out that the power made no sense because it was a one time thing for a one time moment before he died.

I would agree with this too if the manga and databook didn't list it as susanoo that saved itachi and not yata. I would agree again that logically his "shield" would be the one deflect kirin but there's lots of logical stuff that is incorrect in this manga. lol. for all we know, itachi only needed yata to deflect special techniques like danzo's suction or nagato's preta path (he was an akatsuki spy afterall), besides if he did break yata, why would zetsu hype it up afterwards? and note: misconception, yata alone didn't make itachi invincible, it was yata w/ totsuka that made him that claimed him to invincible.

I agree. Well you stated pretty much what an ass pull is by definition: Anything that appears in the plot when no background information was stated that it was going to appear at all.

For example, even Sakura's Byakugou seal is technically an ass-pull because nowhere was it state that she was storing chakra for 3 years. Not until the very moment she activated it :lol

Its really just Kishimoto's writing at this point.



I'm done for any abilities appearing out of the blue, if and only if:

Yeah but then at this point it's just silly, all the suspense would vanish and this manga would've been stretched for another 200 so chapters explaining everything. can you imagine everything being explained like that retarded complex izanami itachi gave or that obviously pretentious and convenient "if uchihas love too much it activates chakra in brain" pep talk tobirama gave which kishi intended for sole purpose of justifying the later asspull DMS kakashi susanoo and blind preta path madara.

at this point I feel there should be a new or different term. because let's face it, sakura having byakugou is an asspull but it's not unbelievable, she did train strictly with only tsunade and both jiraiya and kakashi literally said and implied she copied her lol. meanwhile in the LAST byakugan appearently has new upgrade (that even kaguya never unlock) , Like seriously... that's almost as stupid as collecting 7 dragonballs to become a super saiyan GOD[/GLOW].

Kaguya has never really showed any MS abilities. We already knew Amaterasu was a known MS ability, both Sasuke/Itachi showcased it.

However Sasuke's unique ability is Kagutsuchi.

She didn't have to show them though, Itachi's Tsukuyomi comes from Kaguya's ability to use IT while Obito's Kamui comes from Kaguya's ability to open portholes. Indra's Sharingan comes from RinneShringan which means the abilities of his descendants come from her dojutsu.

I even made a thread explaining how Amaterasu came from Kaguya's S/t but at this point I doubt you're interested in reading it.

But Enton coming from Sasuke having lightning and katon affinity makes the most sense since its the equal opposite of Mokuton which relies on the equal opposite elements of raiton, katon and yin.

Enton is from the Mangekyo Sharingan though. You don't really need Lightning and Fire to make it, even Itachi has Amaterasu with Fire and Water natures.

I don't deny it's from Mangekyo but the Mangekyo itself is from Uchiha having a high level of Yin affinity. I believe Sasuke awakened Enton instead of a different ability because he had a strong katon affinity as well as a strong lightning affinity.

When you look at it Amaterasu is the highest level of katon but its shape can be manipulated like raiton (ie : enton arrows)

When you compare Enton and Mokuton it fits the Yin/Yang theme between Indra and Ashura. Hashirama's mokuton being the product of doton (opposite of lightning), suiton (opposite of katon) and yang (opposite of yin). Mokuton being able to continuously grow while Enton continuously burns.

Why?

Imo the spirit weapons originally belonged to Indra's Susanoo, Itachi found the weapons where Indra and Ashura last fought thanks to his knowledge of shinobi history

Did you ever ask the question on how Itachi would obtain spirit weapons that Orochimaru couldn't find when he was busy dealing with the Uchiha coup and joining the Akatsuki right after?

I mean when did this dude Itachi have free time.

It's simple, as an Uchiha he should've had more clues on where to find weapons that originally belonged to his ancestor. He was stated to be knowledgable since the age of 7, between then and the day he faced Sasuke he had A LOT of time to search about his clan's origins and Indra's weapons. Knowing him he most likely even knew about Hagoromo and Kaguya.
