Problems with the ending

1. Sakura doesn’t know the significance of the forehead poke.
2.Sakura doesn’t know that it was Naruto who commented on her forehead.
3.Sakura doesn’t know that she was about to kiss Naruto and not Sasuke.
4. Sakura doesn’t know that she fell in love with Naruto and not Sasuke.
5. Sakura’s character development was ruined.
6. Minato told Sakura to take care of his son.
7. Kushina told Naruto to find a girl like her (Sakura fits that description and even Minato said she reminded him of Kushina).
8. Naruto told Minato that Sakura was pretty much his girlfriend (doesn’t Naruto dislike people who lie?).
9. Naruto doesn’t know that sakura saved his life (CPR).
10. Naruto never got to confess.
11. NaruSaku didn’t even get a resolution (NaruSasu did though).
12. We didn’t even see Naruto admit his feelings to apparently, Hinata.
13. We didn’t get a NaruHina resolution either.
14. Where’s Sai?
15. We didn’t even get to see Team 7 altogether and for once, happy together.
16.What about lee or tenten?
17.Where is shino, oro, kabuto?
18.What is tsunade doing?

First of all you do now kushinas statement applies to her self sense of being a mother not a carbon copy of herself kushina died protecting Naruto she loved her son until her last dying breathe she wanted that same divotion and love she had for son to be in his future potential wife and fits hinata she almost died protecting Naruto from pain and was willing to give up her life for insuring his safely and loves deeply more then anyone else not for his looks nor for his clan status she just simply loves Naruto for who he is and that's what kushina meant by finding a girl like me and they deserve each other

I agree wholeheartedly. Nightmarish ending. Like he tripped over his untied shoelaces.

Parallels and flashbacks are kishi's bread and butter. What you see are the crumbs and shattered fragments of his hopes and dreams. Things that were going to explain why Naruto ended up with Sakura.

Why he abandoned it remains to be seen. Maybe it was the editors, maybe he bit off more than he could chew and trashed the idea altogether, maybe he hit his head in the shower and developed amnesia. We may never know.
