At the begining of the series, the Sharingan was mysterious and rare. Kakashi had the sharingan; "No way!" "What is that!?" "That's so cool!!". Sasuke was the last surviving Uchiha (along with Itachi); "They're so awesome!" "No one's ever going to be able to do what Itachi just did!"
Later, we were introduced to Obito, just as a side character; an explination for Kakashi's shargain. At this point, with the exception of what Itachi can do ("this is so rare; no one else could ever do that!"), the Byakugan is probably seen as better than the sharingan; Sharingan (non MS): Copy movements, and chakra currents (thus, copying jutsu). Byakugan: See through walls, see chakra currents, 360 degree vision, use Gentle Fist, other awesomness.
Now, we're introduced to Tobi, who talks about Madara and Izuna, the first awakeners of the MS. Now, the sharingan can teleport stuff (awesome when Kakashi could do it, but got old when Tobi spammed it), and the MS isn't so rare after all (Itachi, Sasuke, Madara, Izuna, Shisui). We see the Sharingan being spammed too often, there are more survivors of the Uchiha (Tobi, at least), and then Danzo has sharingan as well. The sharingan can even control life or death (Izanagi).
Now we see that the Sharingan is so overpowered, it can even turn into the Rinnegan! The sharingan can now do much more than just copy stuff; it can use special, over powered jutsu that Uchiha can spam as much as needed (ie. Sasuke and Amateratsu, or Susano'o).
Before I get flammed, the point of this thread is, I liked the Sharingan before it was spammed, and over powered, and all this stupid crap that came in during Shipudden. I want to know if anyone else prefered the Sharingan when it was just a giant mystery, and not even that powerful at that (when compared to the abilities and numbers of the Byakugan).
And I know that the Sharingan was never weak, but I liked it when the Byakugan seemed stronger; now Kishi's jsut loading the Sharingan with so much crap, no one even trys to compare them anymore. Does anyone get this/agree with me?
