honor is more important to them than giving up secrets to someone they trust. look at the lengths hyuugas go to keep their jutsus inside their own clan.

Prime Hiruzen easy, he was the strongest Kage of his time. He reigned during the Era of Muu and Oonoki, the Third Raikage, 3rd Kazekage who was said to be the strongest Kazekage ever produced in Suna and the perfect Jinchuriki Yagura.

Hiruzen was stated to have superlative strength even compaired to hashirama.

He was also hailed a genius (possibly without peer) which is why he is the only character given a nickname for his intellect.

SOOOOO, hype makes him stronger than hashirama (hashirama is stronger than hanzo) and Smarter than hanzo. It should be obvious whose hype makies them stronger.

Hiruzen and Hashirama are nothing compared to Rikudou Sennin. I think Kishimoto only wanted to hype him up back then, before he came up with Rikudou Sennin.
