Itachi is more proficient with Tsukyomi, if hiruzen looks into Itachi's eyes then Hiruzen loses. Also Uchiha can supposedly break out of tsukyomi, while non-uchiha blood can't. Hiruzen can't get out of Itachi's tsukyomi while Itachi can get out of Hiruzens. Nice try though.

KA has been shown to layer a genjutsu on top of edo tensei to break kabuto's control. The command was to protect konoha. Itachi straight up disobeyed the command by not killing Sasuke, who said he was going to destroy Konoha. Itachi > KA's commands.

Perfect susanoo ain't got shit on yata mirror. Perfect susanoo's sword shatters disintegrates when being faced by the yata mirror. Perfect susanoo's sword has been stopped before (hashi caught it), but the yata mirror has never been shown to be breakable, or even scratchable. Yata mirror>PS sword.

1000 genjutsu, pssh. Itachi has been shown to break out of genjutsu with extreme ease, and at the same time cast genjutsu on the person who thought they could cast a genjutsu on him.

Enma stops dead in it's tracks against yata mirror, or at the very most pushes susanoo, either of which do nothing.

The akimichi's jutsu are useless because they are physical attacks which would be blocked by yata mirror.

Shadow possession jutsu? More like Jutsu that could never have a chance of touching Itachi with his genius in Prime Hiruzen's wildest dreams. Even IF Hiruzen is smarter than Itachi, Itachi is smart enough not to get caught in a trap like that.

No where have I ever heard that clones can use 8 gates nor have I heard hype that Hiruzen could use 8 gates with shadow clones, and I assume that they can't (otherwise people would be doing that all the time). And if clones can use 8 gates Hiruzen dies when he takes on that experience. Any way I see it Hiruzen dies if he uses 8 gates, because that's what manga says happens. That means Itachi need only block with yata mirror and defend with amaterasu until 8 gates runs out and hiruzen is dead.

If Prime Hiruzen had high chakra reserves in his youth, he could probably win this. Hiruzen was capable to keep up with Tobirama's shunshin(hailed as the fastest shinobi in his era) despite old age, so with a shunshin this good, i don't think he would be overwhelmed in speed by Itachi who couldn't even outspeed Sasuke(someone hiruzen managed to) and he is portrayed as a great taijutsu user as well, particularly when fighting with his diamond Enma summoning jutsu. It gives him a better approach either in offense and defense in battle(when it covers himself from every angles).

He is also superior ninjutsu user. With his Biju size Katons, raiton, futon, doton, suiton, he would overwhelm Itachi if he ever wants to engage himself that way, and even his use of shurikens would be trumped by Hiruzen's shadow shurikens jutsu. In the end, Itachi would be the one to run out of them. His MS techniques(Amaterasu and tsukuyomi) need prep time due to the amount of chakra it requires to his low chakra lvl, so in the run of a fight, he won't get the time for a build up.

The Kage Bunshin also seems to be part of Hiruzen's fighting style since his youth, so even if Itachi prepares them in time, not knowing who is the real and his techniques would become wasted especially when we know he can only use 3 or 4 MS techniques per day. At least it's my take on it

If you wanted to, you could say they duoed the thread, but even then that would only be in your opinion and since not everyone has been persuaded by their posts (And I doubt many, if any, changed their opinions from those posts) the thread has not been soloed or duod by them.

Itachi being healthy was never apart of his hype.
No one ever said"if he was healthy he'd do xyz"
But people always say "if hirzen was younger xyz is possible"
