In the manga "prime": reference to the peak streangth /age of the person aka certain years define someone's prime.

In fan prespective: reference to the 30 mins of a powerup that person had.

Example:

Tsunade's prime canon = when she didn't have the Yin seal, but had a younger body.

Tsunade's prime fan point of view = when she had the yin seal.

^^^^^ See the confusion. =D

Anyone else ever got annoyed/confused by "prime"?

no prime just means youre peak height of power it has nothing to do with age.

Oh but it does...

Prime of a human has everything to do with an age.. You can gain faster speed/power even after your prime.. and it still won't be considered your prime.

Prime refers to the specific set of time in which that character was as strong as they will ever be. It's pretty obvious.

Only problem, is logically, Tsunade with the Yin seal is stronger than Tsunade in her prime who didn't have the yin seal.

that's not true the second definition of prime is "the highest quality" if you are in youre prime it has NOTHING to do with your age just the best you've been in youre life.

We use prime to signify a character's best performance time period.

Sorry bro but your wrong on this. Prime is only referencing the point in your life when you were the strongest. I think your the one getting it twisted, not everyone else . You could be technically 80 and be in the prime of your life if you are stronger now then you were 40 years ago... Soooo /thread

People who are saying I don't know the definition of prime.. I know it perfectly well. But please read the OP first, before assuming that.

I am simply talking about the difference in the context of the word "prime" between the manga and fans. XD

But it does.. lol. All humans have a certain age of their "prime" abilities, thats when you cna perform at your peak. You can be stronger as a 40 year old, and despite your prime being a 25 year old << thats when human male is considered in his "prime" form.

Also, even in the manga, "prime" has referred to a long period of time. Not a 30 minute thing.

This ^^

age only has a slight amount to do with it because age deteriorates skills and strengths. if my prime body is 23 but i am weak its not my prime. if i am 30 years old but have more skills strength and speed than i had at 23 than this is my prime. age has nothing to do with it other than the deterioration of skills

That's the average human's prime age. A majority of humans will never be stronger than they were in their early to late 20s. There are exceptions, but you're grossly confusing averages and applying them equally across the board.

Users use the term "prime" too loosely. While I agree, it refers to someone at the peak of their abilities, it shouldn't refer to temporary power-ups.

Current Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi weren't at their prime, these aren't permanent stages or something they'll have access to whenever they choose.

no you confused yourself. the reason 25-30 is considered prime for most humans is because that's the AVERAGE age someone reaches their prime. what if they were the fastest man in the world at 18 but when they turned 25 they became a fat lazy bum for the rest of their life? prime refers to someones peak condition no matter how long or short.

Skills = experience.

50 year old man has more skills than a 20 year old man.. But guess which is considered the prime?

People are smarter out of their prime.....

Tsunade is logically stronger out of her prime.. due to not having a yin seal in her prime.

VOTE Madara is stronger than Edo Madara who i "above his prime".

However, that isn't my point here.. lol.

The point is a prime is a reference to a large amount of time when you are talking about Someone's prime. You can't have a prime of 30 minutes...

And i'm not confusing myself, i'm simply arguing from the manga point of view of prime, which refers to a long period of time, of where the characters were at their peek abilities.

prime refers to youre peak of power doesn't matter how long or short. nothing in life is permanent. if I was the strongest man in the world but am now an old man does that mean that mean when I was the strongest it didn't count because I cant do what I used to?

Exactly what i'm talking about. In the manga, prime is referred to a long consistant period of power where characters are at their peak form in physical body.
