I have an new crazy theory I want to share.
All throughout history people do thinks that seem stupid today.
But some people still think they were cool, and that it makes for good stories and stuff.
Things like empires and stuff.
As we get closer to our world we realize these things are bad, but people still think those phenomenons are cool, and I bet the people living in those days did those things because they thought they were cool too, they didn't do it because they thought it was the pc thing to do, they probably did it cus of the opposite reason of that.
This leads me to believe that in order to do something that really gets peoples attention one needs to commit crimes.
Not technically commit crimes but in some way be evil.
Whether its making people butthurt or its conquering a nation you do it not because you are nice but because of some other purpose I don't fully understand.
This is why evil exists, because we keep doing things out of pride but we cover it up somehow so it seems like it's the right thing to do, like with facts defending an evil argument or with good deeds unrelated to the crime for example some people think Genghis Khan was the reason the renessance could even be ushered in as a new era.
So despite all the evil people think of him as a conqueror, there are still those who believe that without him good things wouldn't have been developed.
As long as people seek pride they will seek doing evil things, because when people try to be good they automatically fail at being honorable.
If a leader tells you to do evil things he might be evil but he is still a leader, if that leader turns into someone acting as a moral compass he seizes to exist as a leader to follow.
And people will stop following him and start to follow other leaders they find more masculine or whatever.
This is an attraction stronger than morality.
Good things always comes with a "but", because they really are not about morality but byproducts of pride.
We want free speech BUT we also want to use it to bully and ridicule you if you have an opinion that is stupid.
Or we want free speech but also cencorship of hate speech.
We don't want to be nazis BUT we want to still find Nietsches ubermensch cus we think that's cool.
We want democracy BUT we also want it on our own terms negating sutff and so on...
That's my theory, now I'm gonna sleep and never think about this again.
