Do you think it might be someone's dream from within the genjutsu because technically the light is no longer shining in the physical world. Maybe "that man" is Orochimaru, and we finally get to see his reason for his corruption before he maybe escapes the genjutsu. Or it could be Hagoromo's brother, or maybe Hashirama escapes the black rods now that Madara is about to lose control and rejoins the battle. These are just some possibilities I thought of.

I am seriously starting to believe that Hiruzen is the incarnation of Hagoromo. Think about it, Hiruzen played the fatherly figure when both Naruto and Sasuke was growing up. Sasuke had his father murdered at a very young age, and Naruto had no father growing up to begin with. Hiruzen, played the fatherly role of the two main characters as they grew up into teenage hood. Hiruzen = Hagoromo's incarnation.
