We've seen Suigetsu's hydration technique tank a bijuu dama from the 8 tails, so why would a technique used by the Rikudo Sennin who fought the Juubi, not be able to absorb it?

Because the Rinnegan is haxxed as it is. Suigetsu's Hydrification has a ton of weaknesses and his chakra ain't that great either.

Rinnegan users, though, have a ton of chakra and a lot of other techniques. Suigetsu tanking it? Well okay, he can't do much anyway. I guess the ability to tank a strong jutsu is fine since he's pretty weak.

But to have Madara, Nagato, Obito, who are already supremely strong shinobi, tank TBB? It's a bit too much.

You missed an important part of what I said...That the Rikudo Sennin had the Rinnegan/Preta Path right, he fought the Juubi, now give me any other jutsu or technique that the Sage would have used to stop the Juubi's laser gun/TBB other than Preta Path?

Nagato's preta path absorbed SM Naruto's Rasen-Shruiken with ease / no effects. While Madara said its bit too much for him after absorbing KM Naruto's Rasen-Shuriken.

It implies that it depends on the efficiency of the user.
So IMO - Preta Path can not absorb multiple TBBs immediately because TBBs approaches towards the target at very fast speed and are produced by big amount of dense/strong chakra.

Many people get this wrong all the time, it takes time absorbing all those techniques and if one bijuu use contineous ttb he will not be able to absorb all this in time, here is proof
