Well, Deva Path and Preta Path are being controlled by the same person, so clarifying that they have full intel on each other seems strange and unnecessary.

Gravity. These attractive & repulsive forces aren't like plain elements. Deva is the one with the taijutsu feats anyway. Nagato used that body the longest, it looks physically fitter and closer to Nagatos original build.

Here's how I see it going down.

1. Deva uses CT. GG. Even if preta can draw the gravity core towards him. He gets pounded by rocks/trees etc before he can.

2. Deva uses BT and knocks preta out/removes his rods.

3. ST instantly knocks preta out from the force of hitting objects. A frog kata punch to the cheek had him out of it for several minutes. Pain has the repulsive force to flatten the Leaf Village. Focus that on one enemy & yeah...

Ninjutsu. He uses chakra to manipulate gravitational forces, but the attack itself is just that, using gravity to "create" attractive or repulsion forces and gravity isn't composed of chakra. Kakashi being unable to perceive Deva's repulsion force and questioned what it was suggests that the force isn't composed of Chakra.
