[Theory] Preta Path defeats Edo Tensei

According to the databook, Preta Path can absorb all ninjutsu, regardless of its properties.

Edo Tensei is Ninjutsu. Therefore if a Rinnegan user comes into physical contact with an Edo Tensei body, they can absorb it.

Madara didn't absorb Hashirama simply because he needed to absorb the SM not the Edo Tensei.

This only applies to complete Ninjutsu techniques. For instance, if the user uses an Earth jutsu, you can't absorb the land. Techniques absorbed with Preta Path need to use only chakra, and not an element. They can absorb cloaks, Rasengan, Kamui, etc. Chakra too. Edo Tensei can't really be absorbed, especially the Edo corpses, since they're not ninjutsu themselves, but made through it.

This, chakra in the Narutoverse is the makeup of people, so, apparently Rinnegan users can absorb people too.

But this is just hyperbole at the end of the day, if it were true, we would see Kakashi and Itachi capable of killing any and every shinobi in the Narutoverse.

This is not correct. Jirayia's boiling oil got absorbed despite it being a solid jutsu that isn't pure charka.

It works similarly to Obito's Onmyoudon derived technique except it absorbs instead of nullifies and works against senjutsu.

Madara had to immobilize Hashirama and absorb/preta him via 4 black rods.

People make preta seem easier said, then it is actually done.

Preta Path eats up the chakra used in the jutsu so it breaks down or diminishes

It's not an automatic ninjutsu disabler like most people think

That can also be said about that Konoha's fodder shinobi right at the start of the Pain invasion when his Katon was absorbed. However, this can't work on Doton-like techniques. Especially not Edo Tensei. Also, absorbing a jutsu applied on you is more logical than absorbing a jutsu done on someone else. Don't think it works.

It was created through the use of Chakra, meaning that its base attributes where chakra. Edo Tensei doesn't use chakra as a base, they use human life.
