Can it absorb physical attacks like earth release, wood release, and chibaku tensai? Or is it weak to attacks like those

It can absorb any kind of things as long as it's made of chakra.

The Natures yes, but it will leave the manipulated nature there. I'm not sure about Shinra Tensei since it's basically forced pressure.

OT: there are some attacks that preta can't absorb, especially those of Inyouton and senjustu.
