The fact that he realizes why great empires fall. they grow too big thus thinning out themselves. Look at rome, alexandria and the persian empire. All huge but they got too big. spread the military so vast it because a waste of resources. We are doing the same and he gets that. Sure its good to have a decent military but 900 bases in 150 countries is just ridiculous. We have already won. we need to keep out of foteign affairs unless they directly influence us. We are in the middle east hunting a ghost that never existed. If it was infact because of laden then why are we still there. Its all a gimmick and it seems like this guy wants that to end. Isolationism, which was really USA's policy all the way till WW2, and we must realize that if it weren't for USA's intervention, Europe would be speaking German ~
Many Americans like you do not like it's policy of intervention, but the government has already crowned itself the Knight of Freedom and Democracy, and even if a government of different ideology is in power, USA is far too involved to un-involve itself easily ~
