A couple chapters ago, Hashirama foreshadowed to Sasuke that Madara "still has some good in him"

which in Narutoverse language is "CONFIRMED" talk no jutsu

Which is kind of upsetting. While it will be good character growth for Sasuke to talk-no-jutsu Madara, why can't we have just ONE villain who gets completely obliterated by a good guy. [aka Cell vs Gohan]

It's been obvious for a long time. Consider when Madara seemed interested in Onoki's words in their battle, about how the world is progressing towards peace.

Consider Madara's constant preaching about the history of hatred and violence.

Consider Madara's statements about how all Hashirama/Izuna left him was power and hatred.

Consider the chapter "The Hidden Heart" where Shukaku reflected on the the monk's belief that, while people might deny it outwardly, but inwardly wish for peace/understanding. News flash, Kishi didn't put that in their to develop friggin Shukaku. It was to set up Madara's character.

Hell, Madara didn't have the stomach to watch Sasuke die. He was reliving Hashirama's words, at the moment Hashirama was willing to kill Madara for the village. Madara was proving that he'd even kill Sasuke, who bears a notable resemblance to Izuna and has walked the same path as Madara.

There are MANY more examples of foreshadowing that Madara might be TnJ'd or come to see the error of his ways, but people who want a DBZ-style villain will always ***** when it happens. As if Kishi would let his main antagonist be so one-dimensional. Madara is more layered than any other villain in Naruto.

Agreed. All signs point to Madara TnJ.

BUT, one thing we have to look forward to is the Naruto vs Sasuke fight since we have virtually no idea what is going to happen during that. The details have been scarce. Other than Sasuke wanting to become Hokage for an arguably more viable emotional reason than Naruto (Naruto's childhood dream vs. ending Sasuke's lifetime of struggle and vengeance), we don't have much. A greater motive will definitely emerge in the coming chapters relating to Sasuke's thoughts on this. I doubt he will radically change though, since that would undo all the hard work Kishi has done on developing his character.
