Prompt 1

The best hokage in my opinion is Tobirama. I won't sugar coat and try to act smart and write a long ass parapgraph, I keep it short and nice. Put it simply Tobirama provided Order to the village which in return made it what it is today. He made the academy to train the next generation and also the chunin exams which play a crucial part in deciding ones capabilities and power. He also provided a security force to maintain order. You can basically say Tobirama was the batman of the Leaf providing justice and Order. Without order the village would had fell apart, Also Tobirama's personality fits perfectly to be considered the ''best hokage''. He doesn't hold back his reasoning and isnt afraid to speak his mind and he is not a push over which shows his dedication to his Job

This scan perfectly explains Tobiramas reasoning and how he doesnt sugar coat nothing and speaks the truth.

Best Villain in Naruto
You must be registered for see images

I will be answering Prompt 2. In this post, I will be explaining who I think is the best villain and why I believe so. I personally am under the assumption that Nagato [As well as his guise, Pein] is the greatest villain in Naruto. I will explore a various concepts to prove my point.

Criteria for a Good Villain

  • Relatable and Human-Like; Three Dimensional Character
  • Active and Significant Role in Plot/Main Protagonist
[*]Twisted Sense of Morality - Commits Atrocious Act
[*]Intimidating Posture and a Menacing Nature

A Man
Nagato, in comparison to other villains such as Orochimaru and Madara, is very human-like. For example he portrays emotion. As a young lad, Nagato was sensitive about the concept of killing and harming another. This shows he wasn't an unemotional man, but a boy who had feelings and thought about others. He killed Jiraiya and ruthlessly at that, but still took a moment to remember his sensei. In fact, even after the death of Deidara who wasn't too special an Akatsuki member, he told people to mourn his death alone. He respects people, admires people, has feelings and cares about others. In fact, he wanted to protect Konan and Yahiko with his life which he failed to do but his intention was to protect them.

Nagato is one of the three main foils of Naruto Uzumaki. The first being Gaara who resembled Naruto in the sense of them both being Jinchuriki and discriminated against for. They both lived for something - Gaara to prolong and establish his existence while Naruto lived to catch attention. Naruto eventually got Iruka-sensei, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura and others on his side but Gaara never got anyone. Gaara is what Naruto would have became had nobody acknowledged him.

Obito is the third. They were both shinobi who were below-average and constantly competing with another member of their team who they always fell short of. They also possessed feelings for a girl who loved another. They both had the Will of Fire - the will to never give up and constantly staying positive. Obito is what would have happened had Naruto's will was broken.

Nagato is the second. Nagato and Naruto were both students of Jiraiya and both were thought to be the Child of Prophecy, a child who will bring peace to the Ninja-World. Both wanted to bring peace and both cared about their companions and sought about making Jiraiya's ideals reality with their own sense of justice. However, other than a difference in moral, nothing truly distinguishes the two. Naruto and Nagato are identical - Nagato isn't Naruto had ___ happened. Nagato and Naruto don't have anything to truly separate the two - both experienced pain, lost people and made friends.

This is what makes Nagato the perfect-foil and also, the perfect villain.

A Leader

Nagato is clearly a key-figure in the series. First, Nagato is at the top of the hierarchy of the villainous group known as the Akatsuki which already signals his importance. Deidara, Sasori, Kakuzu, Hidan, Konan, Itachi, Tobi, Kisame - these have all perpetrated evil acts but couldn't have done so without the man in charge.. Nagato. The Uzumaki hired and ordered these ninja to do what they did and what have his actions led to?

  • Capturing and Sealing of Seven of the Nine Bijū
This one act has had a devastating effect on the Shinobi-World. It destabilized the balance that was established by Shodai to create peace in the Ninja-World. By the Invasion of Pain Arc, Konohagakure and Kumogakure held overwhelming power simply due to possessing Kurama and Gyūki while Sunagakure, Kirigakure and Iwagakure had no Bijū. In addition, because of the capturing and sealing of the beasts, Tobi [Obito] had an overwhelming advantage on the battlefield, possessing Six Tailed-Beasts at his disposal to battle the Allied Shinobi Forces.

  • Recruiting of the Member of the Akatsuki
This was also a very influential and led to all that happened above. The Akatsuki killed thousands of shinobi prior to the Fourth Shinobi World War - it ended with the death of nearly everyone in Konohagakure [prior to everyone getting revived], thousands in Sungakure due to Deidara's Invasion, many in Iwagakure also due to. All the villages and many other large entities felt the damage caused directly by the Akatsuki.

  • Invasion of Pain
Konohagakure was destroyed. Many, many, many ninja died because of this Invasion. This included Kakashi and thousands of unknown shinobi and led to the near-fatal wounding of Tsunade, Hinata, Shikamaru and many more. Konohagakure, geographically was obliterated and a crater was all that remained when Naruto arrived and launched his counter-attack. After the Invasion, Konohagakure spent months and is presumably still working on repairing all the damage that was caused.

  • Assassination of Jiraiya the Gallant
Jiraiya was a Sannin and was arguably the strongest ninja in Konohagakure at the time of his death with only Tsunade and Danzou rivalling his strength. Nagato, without too much difficulty killed him - the man who trained him, the man who taught him the ideology he lived by, the man who played the father-figure in Nagato's life and without remorse, Nagato killed him as he was an intruder with no regard to their past experiences.

A Mind

What made Nagato unique is that he wanted peace. He truly wanted to bring peace and actually thought his ideology was the only possible way to create it. His ideology gave birth to a sadistic, extremist-like morale. Here are a couple of things that Nagato did for his interpretation of peace that were not already acknowledged in the previous section.

  • Declaration of the Amegakure Civil War
This undoubtedly led to the death of thousands of shinobi. It is a war - Hanzou and his henchmen appear quite powerful as the Akatsuki back then was. It would have likely been a war of attrition seeing as subsequent to the completion of the war, the only apparent Akatsuki members were Konan and Nagato.

  • The Great Amegakure Purges
Nagato slaughtered anyone and everyone who worked for Hanzou. He didn't stop there: he killed anyone and everyone related to them too. If you had a connection with Hanzou and his reign or Yahiko's Death, then Nagato will kill you. He murdered thousands of innocent people in vengeance for the death of Yahiko.
An intelligent analogy was once made to separate people based on their mental fitness.

A mentally fit person thinks and knows that 2+2=4..
A sociopath knows 2+2=4, but refuses to believe it and thinks that 2+2=5..
A psychopaths thinks and knows that 2+2=5..

Nagato, oddly fits under all three. He thinks and knows that his ideology would lead to peace and it arguably can lead to peace. However, Naruto's ideology is the more correct and Obito's is more easier and Nagato deep down knows that love is essential to peace. He knows that love [4] is the right answer but refuses to believe it and goes about his own ideology. He also fits the last one - you could argue his ideology doesn't work.. at all but he thinks and "knows" his ideology does.

A God
Nagato had some of the most extensive hype in the series and some powers that made him different and a unique piglet among the litter.

He was renowned as a Kami [God] among his villagers. In fact, it was to the point that he believed it as well. He was the Child of Prophecy and the Savior of this World. A man sent down by the Gods to restore order and peace to the Shinobi-World [Star War fans might know what I'm pointing at]. Nagato was basically the "Chosen One" and he had the right to believe it. He was the leader of the Akatsuki for crying out loud.

Nagato possessed the Saṃsāra Eye [Rinnegan]. He was the only one since the Rikudo Sennin [From what we knew at the time] to possess those eyes. He had to be special - Rikudo Sennin was the former Savior of this World but Nagato was now his successor. The Uzumaki had uncomparable power. He possessed the Rikudo Jutsu and its subdivisions as well as the ability, which he took full advantage of to master all 5 Basic Transformations. He can see barriers and chakra and adding to this - he had unsurpassed Chakra Reserves.

His power was put to the test and he passed the test - he destroyed a whole village. He fought Konohagakure, Naruto, Kurama, Hinata, Kakashi, Naruto again and then revived everyone. Nobody has feats that can touch this other than possibly Tobi.

Why I think Nagato is the Best Villain, Summary

  • Illustrious Background
  • Human-Like
  • Powerful and Intimidating, Possess an Unsurpassed Cult
  • Has a dangerous but understandable ideology
Thank-you for reading.

The greatest Hokage was Hiruzen, he was not only the longest reigning Hokage but he was a man not blessed with any special abilities or genes that made him superior to others in any way. He became Hokage because of his naturally attained prowes. I believe him to be the best because he didn't have S/T ninjutsu or wood style ninjutsu that made him overpowered. He used elemental ninjutsu and was the strongest of the 5 Kage during his reign. He was so dedicated to his duties that he took it upon himself to take the role of Hokage after his predecessor sacrificed his life for the village. Burdening him deeply because of his age he still did not let that stop him and he continued to serve the village until his last breath when he died in combat against Orochimaru. He sacrificed himself for the village and the villagers that reside within.

Edit: I know mine looks like nothing compared to the others but I did it for fun, I hope you enjoyed.

I'll go with option 2.

I believe the best villain would go to:

You must be registered for see images

Ever since the beginning of the series, Orochimaru was the most cynical and intelligent out of all the villains. When he was introduced in part I, Orochimaru made his frightening appearance by melting the face off a few shinobi to perpetrate the young Sasuke Uchiha. When he appeared at first he was very creepy and engaging, at this time Orochimaru being the villain drawn more attention to the series. During the chuunin exams, Orochimaru managed to scare the shit out of Kakashi to where Kakashi wouldn't dare to make a move. Note when Kakashi fought other villains in the series no one terrified him much as Orochimaru did. And yes, Kakashi had the Mangekyou Sharingan in Part I, but didn't start using it until Part II.

As for his villainy tactics, Orochimaru takes the prize. He is very Persistent to achieve his goals unlike every other villain. With Itachi slicing off his hand, that didn't stop him completely for his aspiration to claim an Uchiha's body. He continued to persist further. From injecting Hashirama's DNA into 60 babies to claiming the bodies of his victims for immortal purposes, Orochimaru takes the cake.

The Akatsuki may had gathered the Bijuus, but Orochimaru ignored the huge masses of chakra and wanted Sasuke's body. Utilizing his expertise in the shinobi world and vigorous research he managed to outsmart Tobi, cheat death plenty of times by dwelling within the curse seals of his experiments and also being revived by Sasuke. Orochimaru takes the "impossible" in the shinobi world to possible lengths. No one would ever thought that he could trick the death god twice and also live on past from being stabbed by the sword of totsuka.

I could write a twenty page paper on Orochimaru. But he is driven by the hatred of death itself. Unlike other villains who just want to conquer and get their revenge.

Just a quick question for the OP; Are you going to narrow it down to a couple and then decide or choose one straight off the bat? Because there are some rather good ones here (Not to be obnoxious but mine, Centipede's, Ancient Centurions, Prince Charles etc..) and I would like to know if you are going to take the time to ascertain a decision.

The best villain is obito, he was there from the start and he now there at the end. He parallels the main char of the series. Madara has less motive then obito and his plans are not even going his way, it seems all Madara cares about is hashirama. Obito is also very intelligent, strong, manipulative, nut-case. This why I like obito as villian and as character. He also receive the biggest power up in Naruto Verse.

So you want to know who is the best villian in the series? It's obviously Madara. Why you ask? Other than I'm Dantee "the oh flawless one" and I said so it's because Madara is a freaking badass. A badass of the type we have never seen in this manga. One that was long overdue and introduced at such a perfect time.

Madara trolls all heroes in this manga. He trolls the kages, he trolls Naruto, he trolls Obito, he trolls us as a reader. You think something can actually break this guys cool but he remains frosty at all times. He's like an uncut dentyne ice commercial that the executives decided to shut off because they felt it was to much of an exaggeration.

Madara's name itself brings war and destruction. He is more than just himself, but an icon of sheer power and destruction.
Madara ****in Uchiha *****..

Pm after you rewarded me with rep/Premium. I'd like to change my ava to something more suitable to my new purple name tag.
