let me begin with the definition of shinobi
"shinobi is the one who endures to achieve his goal "
what's sasuke's goal
"but i've an ambition. the resurrection of my clan"
he is enduring the suppression of his own hatered to achieve his ultimate goal which is the resurrection of his clan.
and how can he do it ?

how can one get rinnegan.? by fusing senju dna.
but that's not all, madara fused with senju dna but nothing happened in the start. he was almost close to his death when he awakened the rinnegan.
so how did exactly one awakens the rinnegan.
the answer could be the gedo mazou,
in his last moment madara summoned the gedo mazou. and when he connected to it he awakened the rinnegan. then he transplanted it too nagato which was basically izuna's eyes, then he died,
but he said, he escaped death .
how did he escape death
answer is izanagi
he had only one eye left and he wanted more he asked for obito's eye too

any way i think madara awakened rinnegan near death cause juubi's chakra is the 3rd requirement.
that would perfectly make sense since juubi's eye has both rinnegan and sharingan.
sasuke's very intention in this war is nothing but getting juubi's chakra. so that he can have rinnegan. and after that he can resurrect his clan.
