obito goes to the battlefield where kakashi and rin are and he is a witness to rin getting killed which influences him to follow madaras plan. With rin bein dead at that moment he doesnt care anymore to let kakashi know at that moment that he is alive. And then goes back to start madaras plan

I actually think that Kakashi will eb already gone (fleed probably bcs was to late anyway)
and Obito meets Rin one last time

i kinda already said that a lil while ago with a bit more detail how the zetsu said it was a dream world genjutsu so after obito sees it he goes back and tells madara he wants to be in the genjutsu world where he can be with rin etc and then madara start tobito on the plan
