Dragon Force Natsu and Ice Devil Slayer Gray (with black mark) barely defeated Mard Geer with high diff.

Both DF Natsu and DS Gray are more powerful than Pre TS Erza or Gajeel in 1 vs 1, tho I could see them being able to solo that form of Erza and Gajeel together. Erza and Gajeel from war arc wouldn't be able to beat Mard Geer.

Ezra and Gajeel should be able to defeat Marde Geer mod difficulty.

First off people mistake dodging as tanking for some reason. Marde Geer is not a tank machine. He didn't tank any of the CSK attacks he just dodged them and he absorbed Sting/Rogue unison raid and he dodged Gray's Des roar. He did tank a DF Natsu attack but all it did was push him further into the air. Stings and Rogues punches did deal damage to Marde Geer when they faced him along side Natsu in hand to hand combat. Ezra is fast enough with her swords to land multiple blows to Madre Geer.

Gray > Erza pre TS. & Gray > Gajeel pre TS.

They barely defeated him despite having natural advantage via Gray so it's hardly convenient to believe a team of inferior beings can be a match for him.
