Tottenham's FA Cup quarter-final against Bolton has been called off after Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba suddenly collapsed on the pitch.

He plays for Bolton. Apparently he had a heart attack on the pitch and it's believed he still wasn't breathing up to 10 minutes later.

He suddenly collapsed, had to be resuscitated and the match was abandoned. Currently in hospital which Owen Cole (manager of Bolton) and one other player awaiting to see what happened and whether he will pull through.

Update:
Fabrice Muamba 'critical' after collapse in Spurs-Bolton match.

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba is critically ill after collapsing during an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Tottenham.

The 23-year-old is being treated in the intensive care unit of the heart attack centre at the London Chest Hospital.

Medics spent 10 minutes trying to resuscitate him on the field after he fell to the ground with no other players around him.
