the greatest of ninjas even after they left their name is still a force to recon with and powers relating to them still remain in tht narutoworld I would start with:
1:hashirama:even when he is dead is power is still in the world every tom,****,and harry have access to is unique kekkei genkai namely yamato,danzo,tobi,orochimaru even the great doujutsu user madara helped himself.
2:madara:before dying he transplanted is doujutsu to a boy named nagato because of is eyes nagato could exert powers beyond is imagination shaking the world with the rennigan and becoming the leader of a village almost as great as the five shinobi nations(ameghakure).
3:minato:he made the rasengan by observing the bijuu dama the jutsu passed down to jiraiya to naruto,konohamaru and was even copied by kakashi he also left is legendary jutsu ftg to gemma,raido and another shinobi they have to come together to use it.
4:tobirama:he left a dangerous jutsu that changed the world edo tensei a jutsu so powerful it was not suppose to exist.
5:sage of the six paths:almost all the jutsu known to the narutoverse he passed down he is the beginning of shinobi he is a god
6:juubi:nobody apart from few people knew the juubi existed but even he is the combination of all the bijuu put together even though it never existed until now the bijuus were know throughout the ninja world and gave great powers to ninjas like:killerbee,naruto,madara,gaara and the host of them.

bito:though he died young he left is eyes to kakashi those eyes where part of the reason why kakashi was respected in the village and the world given the moniker sharingan no kakashi
8:itachi:he left is eyes to sasuke making sasuke more powerful than ever by possessing the ems though he is dead he is going to live on in sasukes eyes.
