Chapter 2: Run...
"Manny we have to get out of here... Get moving NOW!!!" Dietrich yelled as he grabbed Mangekyo's hand. The two boys attempted to escape the city running through the back alleys that they used to play in. The alleys were now surrounded by burning buildings & the screams of the people they called friends. "Keep moving & stay alive" Dietrich said as he let go of Mangekyo's hand. They made their way to a water drain that led out of the city & jumped in. Then they ran into the woods outside of town.
A few Hrs later in the woods...
"What are you doing Dietrich?" Manny said as Dietrich used a kunai to mark each tree. "I'm marking the trees so we don't get lost in the woods... You seem to have calmed down" Said Dietrich. "I'm not calm, I'm focused... I need to survive & increase my skills... Then I'll avenge my country & destroy the Iron Empire" Mangekyo said in a state of slight anger. Dietrich sat silently marking the next tree then said "Let's move on"
"I think I see a road...Looks like there's a Ox cart traveling on it" Mangekyo stated "Be careful we don't know who they are, Be quiet... They could be Iron Samurai" whispered Dietrich. "I can hear you, you know" yelled a man laying in the hey in the back of the cart As Dietrich said "Oh, fu.." the man appeared behind them in a flash "Kids shouldn't talk like that" said the man.
"You... you're a ninja aren't you?" Mangekyo asked "Yeah, I guess I am... The names Kai, who are you kids anyway?" Kai said. "That's not important... You are going to train me to be a ninja" Mangekyo said. "Why do you want to be a ninja anyway?" Said Kai "My father was killed by the Empire" said Mangekyo "So what, lots of kids parents were killed by those samurai recently" Kai told him.
Dietrich struggled out of Kai's grip "Let's go Mangekyo... This di*k head won't help you" Dietrich yelled. "Did you say Mangekyo... Are you Uchiha Kano's son?" Kai asked Mangekyo "Yes I am and he's dead, now will you help me?" Mangekyo asked in anger. *This boy is from the Uchiha clan* thought Kai "I can't train you, but I know someone who can... My buddy Shoto leads a Resistance group trying to expose the empires corruption & take them down"
