[Discussion] Power difference Rinnegan vs Body

Here is a question for you all.

Would you bet that Kishi came up with the Rinnegan first and the Body of the Sage second?

Power levels would certainly suggest that....

The Rinnegan while powerful hasn't been shown to be uber hax this past arc. The body of the sage however has been shown to be stupidly strong.

Is this intentional from Kishi or is he having issues balancing the two powers?

For the up coming fight between Sasuke and Naruto the gap has never been more glaring.

Sasuke's Rinnegan is different than Hagoromo and Madara's. True Rinnegan can be achieved by Ashura's and Indra's chakra but Sasuke's Rinnegan is pure Indra chakra. Thats why he couldn't awakened it in both eyes.

What if one with that Dojutsu. has all abilities ( Madara ). uses it to Full power.

Well the thing is, body of the sage thing hasn't been perfectly defined. Is it having ashura chakra only? or is it having ashura's chakra + senjutsu or is it having the chakra of all tailed beast + senjutsu

Depending on which of the three options it is, determines if the rinnegan is at the same level or weaker.

really the body has shown to be stronger. sm Hashirma is stronger than ems madara. Bsm Naruto is stronger than ems Sasuke. Tobirama is stronger than Izuna.

Good point. Naruto has been using all the tailed beast chakra natures and he has been using the Gudōdama. I think its probably all of that together. Ashura's chakra + Tailed beasts + Senjutsu.

Kishi just seemingly forgot alot of jutsu that come with the Rinnegan.. I really can't imagine any other reason why Madara and Obito didn't use some of the jutsu Pain used when they would've been hella useful.

He most likely had alot of things planned out early on.Note that Indra/Uchiha's. have the Sage's Yin (Spiritual energy) ,and eyes while Ashura/Senju/Uzumaki have his Yang (Physical energy),and body.


Spiritual and body energy is what makes up chakra.Indra/Uchiha,and Ashura/Senju/Uzumaki inherited half his power and Naruto and Sasuke were literally given half his power - it's balanced.

Sasuke has strong eyes (Dojutsu) and Yin chakra (Spiritual energy) (Genjutsu) and Naruto has a strong body,Yang chakra (Physical energy),which is capable of becominga good Jin.

Hagoromo had both body and Rinnegan it was from Indra and Ashura that things got divided and who knows if in Naruto would they be united again? maybe thats why in the movie He has His hand covered to seal of the unification of body and eyes.

As described in the manga, jutsu is the product of combining your physical strength(yang) and chakra(yin) and each limit the other.

People without yang cannot control the Rinnegan - even Obito who is partially infused with zetsu/hashirama cells could not handle more than 1 Rinnegan and "almost lost himself to it" as he himself states.

Madara only gained the body of the sage from being the ten tails jinchuuriki. Him taking a portion of hashiramas flesh (chakra) is not the same as taking the sage of six paths senjutsu. You need both chakra of ashura and indra or the sages chakra itself to gain the Rinnegan, not the body. Sasuke gained the eyes, and the eyes only. If you have the body of the sage that means you have senjutsu if the six paths which includes the gudoudamas
