This might be potential foreshadowing.
We see in the tapestry with kaguya and the god tree its depicted with a zigzag design.
We see so far 3 otsutsuki with this zigzag pattern in the root of there hair. Being kaguya, isshiki and momo.
We know kaguya is a juubi fighter, good chance isshiki will be a juubi fighter might be foreshadowing momo will be a juubi fighter too.
I'm thinking even the stem like design for borutos and himawaris might have symbolic implications likely representing a fruits stem. If true might see that symbolism manifest in the series.
