Potara/Fusion Dance Clear Up

I've seen a lot of arguments in the Vegito/Gogeta debate over the....months, and I just wanted to point out some stuff and address some popular arguments


1. Akira already said Vegito is strongest
Wrong. Akira said Vegito is the strongest ever seen in the manga. Last time I checked, Gogeta was never in the manga, so this doesn't apply to him

2. Elder Kai said Potara is stronger
Wrong again. Never is it said Potara is stronger, only its a better method of fusing due to many flaws in the Fusion Dance i.e. Time limit, too long to prepare (you have to get the dance right, power levels have to be equal so they make the right warrior and not a knock off like Veku, waiting period of when you can fuse again). With Potara, you just snap on the earrings, bada-bing, bada-boom, super warrior ready

3. My last argument: It doesn't matter what method you use, its the PEOPLE FUSING that determines the strength. For example, if I say Gogeta vs Gotenks, the answer is obviously Gogeta, despite the fact that they are the same Fusion Method.

Vegito and Gogeta are evenly matched, however, Vegito would win due to the flaws mentioned before.

I don't know if their powerlevels were equal or not, but Vegito is in fact the stronger one IF they ever fight. Because, all he has to do (if he can't finish Gogeta), is to survive 30mins, and I don't think that's a hard thing for Vegito to do...

I suppose since I for some reason don't have anything better to do I can get into this little topic about DBZ Fusions....

The fact is....The Potara Fusion is indeed stronger and better than the Fusion Dance on many levels.....only draw back it has is that it is a permanent fusion and not a temporary one like the Fusion Dance.

Potara: Takes the power level of both recipients and combines them into one being, and substantially enhances that beings abilities. But once the fusion is completed it is permanent even if the person takes the earrings off the effect remains, the only time it has been reversed is when that combined being is in a place where the fusion is incapable of being supported. (i.e. inside of Buu)

Fusion Dance: Both beings must have their power levels in synch as well as their movements, and breathing or else it fails resulting in a catastrophe. But when fused together properly they create an all new superior being. For about 30 minutes, and when that time period is up the fusion ends and both must wait an hour before fusing again. More drawbacks to this type of fusion is that 1.) They must keep the same power levels at all times even in fusion, or else they will fall out of it. 2.) They must not use too much power or else they will fall out of it. and finally 3.) If they sustain too much damage while fused they will fall out of the fusion.

So all in all the Potara Fusion is better in the sense of the drawbacks. As for the power they would most probably be equal.....even though if you go by the anime and movie standards (GT NOT INCLUDED) Vegitto is still better seeing as when Goku was SSJ 3 he couldn't handle fighting neither Janemba or Super Buu. But when they fused Gogeta was SSJ and easily beat Janemba, and Vegitto was a regular Saiyan beating Super Buu around like a rag doll and went Super Saiyan, just because he wanted to, he didn't even need to go that far to crush Super Buu. So overall Vegitto is the better end deal.

The reason Akira Toriyama said that Vegitto is the strongest is because Gogeta is NOT a cannon character by any means (GT is NOT cannon). So therefore Vegitto takes the cake and the pie at that.

In the games SSJ 4 Gogeta is the strongest character in the games because Vegitto only goes up to SSJ (a.k.a. Super Vegiito), so therefore you cannot really compare the two seeing as one can go to a certain level while the other cannot due to the GT series.

There's just one thing I wanna point out: You said if the Dance Fusion's power level is not the same constantly, it fails. This is WRONG. Gotenks went Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 3. Those weren't just for show, he increased his power level twice, namely, he changed it twice and retained his form

2 is wrong wrong wrong, Old Kai states that the earrings work more effectively than the fusion dance he learned in the other world. "More" effective gives it the meaning that it is better at doing the job, meaning the final result will also be better using this method. Am I the only one here with a working knowledge of the English language? He said nothing about it being a better method for fusion because of the flaws of the dance etc..., he used the exact words "much more effective". This means the fusion would be better/stronger, the end.

that isnt proof of anything except that janemba must have been superior to buuhan which is acceptable
