it looks like i finally reached my 666th Post here on NarutoBase so in order to commemorate this occasion i decided to make a thread about an Anime Video Game Series called Megami Tensei it's a series that i love very much, the Megami Tensei Series first started out as a Novel Series called Digital Devil Story and the First Novel in the Series is called Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei and the Main Antagonist of this Novel is Loki, the Second Novel is called Digital Devil Story 2 Warriors Of The Demon City and the Main Antagonist of this Novel is Seth, the Third and Final Novel is called Digital Devil Story 3 Demise Of The Reincarnation and the Main Antagonist is the Devil himself the Demon Lord Lucifer, the Main Male Protagonist of all three Novels is Akemi Nakajima he is the Reincarnation of the God Izanagi and the Main Female Protagonist is Yumiko Shirasagi she is the Reincarnation of the Goddess Izanami, the First Novel Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei got an Anime Adaptation in the form of an OVA and the name of the OVA is Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei it's the same name the First Novel has and eventually the Video Game Developer Atlus made a Game called Megami Tensei it was released on September 11th 1987 and it was released for NES and the Game takes place after the first two Novels so Akemi Nakajima is still the Main Male Protagonist and Yumiko Shirasagi is still the Main Female Protagonist and the Main Antagonist is Lucifer and the Secondary Antagonist is Loki and Seth is also in the Game but he serves Lucifer as one of his minions, the Gameplay involves the Player exploring a dungeon and as the Player explores the dungeon they will encounter Demons and the Player can either defeat these Demons or recruit them via Demon Negotiation and after recruiting them you can use them in battle against other Demons this Gameplay feature made Megami Tensei the First Game in Video Game History to have the Player collect creatures and use them in battle and in addition to this Gameplay feature the Player can also Fuse their Demons in order to make stronger Demons and Megami Tensei also has Enemy Weaknesses this allowed the Player to use moves that are Super Effective against their opponents like Fire Type Moves and Ice Type Moves, Megami Tensei became very popular and because of this Atlus made a Second Game called Megami Tensei 2 it was released on April 6th 1990 and it was released for the NES and one of the most notable things about Megami Tensei 2 is that God aka YHVH is the Final Boss of the Game and another thing is the Fact that Player can choose to side with either YHVH or Lucifer this choice would affect the Ending of the Game, eventually Atlus made a Third Game called Shin Megami Tensei it was released on October 30th 1992 and it was released for the Super Nintendo and this Game is what made the Megami Tensei Series truly popular and it also made the Megami Tensei Series into what it is today and one of the reasons is because of it's Unique Story which involves a war between YHVH and Lucifer with Humanity being in the middle of this war and eventually Atlus made many more Megami Tensei Games and this eventually lead Atlus to make other Series like Persona, Devil Summoner, Digital Devil Saga and Devil Survivor and all of these series are technically part of the Megami Tensei Series but at the same time they can still be considered their own Separate Series, the Megami Tensei Series is still going strong even to this very day and it's very safe to say that the Megami Tensei will be one those Series that will withstand the test of time. before i wrap things up i would like to ask if your a Megami Tensei Fan how did you get into the Megami Tensei Series as whole? i got into it through the Persona Series, anyway i hope that you enjoyed this thread and i hope that you that you guys have a Beary good day and thanks for reading my thread.
