Post 4th Shinobi World War: Rock Lee will become a more well-rounded ninja.

I just saw a post in a thread about what the 8th gate will look like and how Lee will gain an upgrade and it got me to thinking. With Neji's death and Gai's death soon to come, you gotta believe Lee is going to be crushed, but train to unheard of levels--even for him. I believe Kishi will make an "ass pull" for Lee and allow him to finally push his will to the point where he gains "talent" and by "talent" I mean, ninjutsu. I believe it's only fitting.

Lee needs and deserves an upgrade after losing his best friend and teacher (father figure) Gai. Reaching the 7th gate would be an upgrade, but not enough for what he's just gone through. That said, next up would be the 8th gate. This would be awesome, but the end result of this technique is death and Lee isn't dying in this series. So he needs something else. BTW, I do believe he will attain the 8th gate, but like Gai--he'll never use it, unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY--which we won't see in this manga. How else can Lee improve? Better taijutsu? Naw... 8th gate covers that. Genjutsu? Nope, Lee's style.

Lee will become a ninjutsu user, ladies and gents! How advanced? Well, he won't be doing any S-rank ninjutsu techniques, but I can see him performing some C-rank ninjutsu techniques to keep his mastery level taijutsu honest.

Thoughts? Have I completely gone on a pointless tangent, or could this "ass pull" be actually "trollable" ?

You assume that Lee can become more well rounded?! I sincerely regret to inform you that nothing is more well rounded than Rock Lee already. It is physically impossible. No one rounds around the Bowel Cut .


OT: He has no aptitude for Ninjutus or Genjutsu. I just can't see it.




From the start of the series the people I've been rooting for for each genin team is Naruto, Hinata, Lee, and Shikamaru.


Shikamaru is just cool. The other three served to show that even the under dogs and those initially cast aside as trash/without talent/ the wrong mind set can become splendid shinobi.

That being said... this doesn't mean Lee has to suddenly change how he fights just to prove this point. He's already splendid as a monster in Taijutsu...

I'd rather have Gai saved from the eight gate with Lee helping him because somehow their combined strength lessens the strain from their bodies. After the war, Lee will devote himself to finding a ninth gate since they've overcome the eight. Or something like that.

Lees taijustu surpasses gai's ATM reason how come Lee able to keep up with gai at such a young age Lee will surely be better then gai in Tai and there's not many asspulls in this manga people over doing it like kishi is a useless writer

The hidden gates themselves are designed to forcefully increase the flow of chakra. Causing an overall increase in power.


Lee has access to chakra (for example he could stand on the water during the massive fight with Body Double Kisame). The problem is his chakra control is abysmal..... he can't truly perform well with Ninjutsu or Taijutsu. You could say he's like Naruto... where Sasuke and Sakura use basically the right amount of chakra for a jutsu.... the amount Lee has to use basically empties his reserves or lowers them to a vastly inefficient level.

Nope. Lee can release chakra. If he couldnt, then he could not be any form of ninja at all.

He just has ZERO talent towards useing his chakra to make ninjutsu. He can still do things like wall run, etc, that just use chakra. He just cant do something like clone jutsu, or anything like that(unless he has practiced enough, and somehow gotten over his talent block.)

Oh ok, I just assumed since he couldn't use chakra because he can't use Nin or Gen. I don't know why but I always thought that you didn't need chakra to use the gates.
