naruto reacting like he was expecting minato makes it seem like he was expecting minato . there have been different theories on how he found out minato was coming to the battle feild . i just wanted to throw out a little theory that i came up with. naruto is only able to sense people's chakara when he is in sage mode n since the hokages got resurrected via edo tensei, we have only seen naruto in bijuu/kyuubi mode . in kyuubi/bijuu mode naruto can only sense evil intentions around him, which means he can only sense within his vicinity n only evil intentions .

so there was no way he could have sensed minat'o's chakara

which brings me to my theory.
remember when Kinkaku went into six tails form

naruto was able to sense the kyuubi's chakara

which brings me to my point naruto might have sensed the other half of kurama's chakara, which he knows only minato has or he could have sensed the chakara when it got released from the death god belly.

He sensed his chakra, the first time Minato and the hokages were summoned.

remember naruto was in buji mode before they got summoned so there is no way he could have sensed minato's chakara.

Naruto recognized Minato's chakra because he's already met him, he sensed everyone via SM
