How do you guys feel if they unite the villages to one shinobi force, and in response to who will become the leader of this said united country, there will be a tournament for any shinobi to participate in. Some will do it in order to actually win the leadership, some people (choji for example) will be doing it knowing naruto or someone stronger than them will win, but do it because they wanna just get stronger and test their abilities. Or some people won't even participate cause they know they wouldn't win (Shikamaru)
The tournament will also determine runner up leadership positions, this would be a good chance for kishimoto to create some new characters that have unique kekki genkai, and maybe could even unite the secondary villages (grass waterfall etc) so we get a long enough arc and enough good fighting.
Think about it we could get all 5 kage fighting, naruto Sasuke Sakura kakashi, anybody else who isn't fodder compared to our main Heroes. Maybe a Sakura vs tsunade fight or in the final four kakashi vs Sasuke and kakashi loses purely cause he doesn't have EMS, and Naruto vs Killer bee or orochimaru or kabuto or just any new character for that matter that could have an interesting twist to it like he/she gained some Rikudo chakra from being in the IT.
You could call this fan fiction but I think it would be a really good way to end things if we have an arc with a shitload of fighting and everyone going as hard as they can, use your imagination on this one when you think about it.
And then we have a reasonable way we get Naruto vs Sasuke cause they obviously will be in the finals, but then after naruto wins he makes a speech saying he cannot lead anyone without Sasuke, because if he did it would just continue the cycle of hatred of Indra not gaining leadership.
Sorry if this was poorly written I am on my phone and just had a vision in my dream very briefly last night lol but lets have a discussion how would YOU feel if we got a tournament featuring all our favorite characters going their hardest
