Since it is predicted that Naruto and Sasuke literally represent Rikudou's Body & Eyes (Bijuu and Rinnegan), I have came up with a theory about how the final battle will go down between these two and Juubidara.
Naruto has Sage Mode and will have (to some extent) the power of all 10 bijuu's. Only sage mode works against Juubidara, so where does this leave Sasuke, if he gets the rinnegan? He won't be able to contribute to the battle because he won't have the SM capabilities to actually damage Juubidara, and since they both represent two aspects of the sage he can't be left out of the battle, so here's a possible theory I've been thinking about:
- Orochimaru will try and attack Sasuke for his body, since Juugo was the only one in Taka who sensed something off about Orochimaru, Juugo will somehow be involved in the (maybe minor) fight to stop Orochimaru from taking Sasuke's body. This will lead to Juugo dying and Orochimaru being sealed/stopped, or even killed. As a final deathwish, Juugo might pass on some of his mini-SM powers to Sasuke that will allow Sasuke to use Curse Mark to a bigger extent - BUT this power up will only be temporary, as Sasuke obtaining SM/body powers will ruin the balance between the elder and younger son parallel that fit with him and Naruto.
- After Naruto meets the Sage or 10 Bijuu in the Bijuu dimension, he might wake up to find Obito wrestling with BZ, and Obito might extract his rinnegan and tell Sakura to seal it in Naruto as a temporary power-up to help fight Juubidara, and to stop BZ from getting it and giving it back to Juubidara. This MUST be temporary as it will also ruin the balance of the Elder son and Younger son parallel between Naruto and Sasuke. After possibly meeting the Sage, he might tell Naruto to destroy the rinnegan so nobody can exploit them in the future. He might keep his old eye and replace it with the Rinnegan after he destroys it.
So, in conclusion, Sasuke will temporarily get a half-powered version of SM, and Naruto will gain one rinnegan, which will balance out and will destroy the Elder son-Younger son balance, but it will be okay as it will be temporary, and it will help them both kill/seal Juubidara.
TL;DR: Sasuke gets temporary Curse Mark powers given from Juugo in his dying breath, Naruto will temporarily gain the Rinnegan Obito has to stop BZ from getting them, and will later destroy it to stop it from being exploited in the future. Both power-ups are temporary and balance out, and will grant both of them body/eye power to emulate the SO6P and overcome JuubiMadara.
