This is just a random idea that popped into my head after re-reading a couple chapters. Does anybody else think that the ******* captain in the trost arc (the guy who almost has Eren killed) looks like the King? If they are related it could explain how he got to such a high rank. I also think it would be an interesting plot twist. I know a lot of people have been saying they think the king is the ape titan, maybe its the captain instead?

Well if they do end up getting Pixis's help with their revolt the captain could end up trying to sabotage them from the inside or act as a spy for the King.
