Possible reason for all the filler in the anime

Even though the manga ended the anime is still churning out filler content prolonging the conclusion of the main storyline.

But I think I know what studio Pierriot has in mind. With the Boruto manga coming out there's going to be even more manga content to adapt into anime, so perhaps the plan is when Shippuden ends they're going to go straight into the next series starring the new generation of Boruto. If the manga isn't finished by then it's going to be easy to plan out the anime and if it isn't successful they won't want to be stuck waiting for the manga to end while they need to create more fillers. So they're putting fillers in now so by the time Shippuden ends they'll have the entire Boruto manga to adapt into a sequel series.

OR the more likely reason, so they can show more episodes, extend their series contract and make more money. The same reason they reduced their chapter sizes and filled them with flashbacks

Ahh that's so sad.

Although the manga sort of turned to shit towards the end too.

Yet still excited for the Boruto series, I guess I'm hoping it'll be like the original series.

They have the sarada manga to rely on, no need to wait for boruto manga. If they want to wait for one more manga to consider than they can just make one episode per manga so that they can have enough time for boruto manga to release. They are just making money by extending shippuden into fillers....... Because it is one of those anime where you have a guarantee of making money. So studio don't want to lose their only anime which is a good source of income.
