Yes but the basis is still the same, both Edo Tensei and Rinne Tensei are both related to life transfer in a sort of way.

Maybe, but i think it has more to do with the fact that Obito's doesn't deteriorate either. That, and he rarely ever uses it unless he has to.

I think its because obito is around him. Madara did say that together with kakashi they are stronger........so maybe the fact that he is around has a different effect on his mana pool.
