is a Plothole becuz 15 years ago,the exact position of the Mystery behind the Mask of Kakashi was to the right side of his Mouth !!..

-My thoughts : this is a giant Plothole....and i think the reveal of kakashi's face Mystery was made in the last Minute ...it was a very very very rushed Reveal . to the point Kishimoto didn't pay attention to these Plotholes...
