I'm saying this might be a future development because it could happen, in which case it won't be a plot hole. It's related to Minato's arms (don't get your hopes up Minato fans, this is just a possibility and nothing more).

All right. Here we go. We all know why Minato doesn't have his arms. It's because of the black orbs deleting ninjutsu, in Minato's case, the edo regeneration.

But here's were there might be a possible pothole. It can't delete senjutsu-based ninjutsu.

Minato has SM.

So technically, shouldn't this mean that Minato's edo body is senjutsu? Shouldn't this mean that in SM, he'll regenerate? This is a pothole.

Now, here's how it might be a future development. Perhaps Kishi gave Minato SM on purpose. Maybe he will enter SM, and then regenerate his arms. Enabling him to use the jutsu he was hinting in the first place. Kishi may have also introduced SM for Minato so that Minato could actually do something against a juubi jinchuriki.

What do you guys think?

I think it's not a plot hole because the edo tensei was Orochimaru's ninjutsu, not Minato's senjutsu.

NO .
I think
Minato's arm would be regenerate if ORO Would have used senjutsu chakra to revive EDO Tensei[Don't know if this works or not].

I don't think that would work. It wouldn't make sense in my opinion seeing as he didn't even have SM activated when losing his arms. I highly doubt that going back into sage mode would even reverse any damage dealt before hand.

This could be a plot hole.
Its possible that it might regenerate , and if it does, its not a plot hole.
But here's were there might be a possible pothole. It can't delete senjutsu-based ninjutsu.

If it doesn't regenerate however, that means his body doesn't hold the senjutsu throughout his entire body at the same time and it flickers on/off while in sage mode. Its like getting some of your chakra points blocked while other chakra points are still open. In this case, he said he wasn't good at senjutsu; maybe the senjutsu effects wore off his arm quickly right before Madara struck it.

minato's SM is not perfected :| so NO

He is a true sage. The only difference is that he can't be in SM for long periods of time, plus, the amount of perfection is irrelevant as Gamakichi, who's obviously not on SM level, didn't have his attacks erased.

The rasengan used on obito was originally made by minato while naruto added senjutsu in it later on, it wasnt erased

There are few things that people need to understand here,
1. Sage mode and Senjutsu are different. Sage mode indicates that user is drawing natural energy from the surrounding while user combines it with it's own chakra, to form senjutsu based attack. 'Senjutsu attack' affected Obito and not natural sage mode. And hence Senjutsu can't be blocked, but even if the user is in sage mode he can be attacked by Juubi Jin, and hence Minato's arm was successfully cut off by Madara.
2. Chakra and strength of attack also matters, that is simple sage mode rasengan can be deflected easily, and Minato knew this and hence he told Kakashi to help him out, so that he can try to catch Madara off-guard. Rasengan used on Obito was bigger in size and has higher amount of chakra, than what Minato put into his attack, and hence it affected.
Overall, I don't see possibility of Minato's arms getting regenerated.

I thought so too, but if you notice after he gets hit, he reverts back to his normal state.
Maybe it would regen if he managed to stay in SM though.

SM is when sage chakra runs through the body of the senjutsu user. The body itself has senjutsu running through it, hence why SM users have higher levels of durability, healing, strength, speed, and reflexes. The way you're saying it makes it sound as if senjutsu only goes into ninjutsu, which is not the case.

Also, yes power is a factor and Minato's body will be affected, but the fact that Minato's body is senjutsu, which means it's regeneration function should not be hindered by deletion of ninjutsu.

I think so as well. If he keeps meditating and maintaining SM, he'll probably regen. The edo regen doesn't happen instantly after all.

Yes . Nature energy within users body but not in Edo Tensei jutsu's chakra . So I don't see possibility of minato getting his arm back

His arm will not be returning. Edo Tensei, the Jutsu used to create the body, isn't Senjutsu.

Nah, to be more precise 'natural energy' runs through body.
The body itself has senjutsu running through it, hence why SM users have higher levels of durability, healing, strength, speed, and reflexes. The way you're saying it makes it sound as if senjutsu only goes into ninjutsu, which is not the case.
'Senjutsu', as the name indicates is sen'jutsu', it is jutsu, jutsu can't run through body, natural energy can.You aren't getting what I am trying to explain here.
Let's bring some manga scan into this,
You must be registered for see images
Read uppermost panel of this scan, where Fukasaku states that 'techniques' which use chakra from three energy sources is 'senjutsu', i.e. techniques is a key word here.
Now how ninjutsu is different, let's go back a few panels.
Regular ninjutsu uses only internal energy and not energy from 'outside'.

Also, yes power is a factor and Minato's body will be affected, but the fact that Minato's body is senjutsu, which means it's regeneration function should not be hindered by deletion of ninjutsu.
Minato's body isn't senjutsu, but rather his techniques are what we call 'senjutsu' or 'senpou art'. Regeneration function is restoring of once own stamina and spiritual energy, due to Edos being dead persons and hence they can be restored, due to them having particular balance of Yin-Yang(from my speculation large amount of Yin, as soul can't be killed, but let's not get deep into this) I don't know what senjutsu has to do with it.
Minato's body has natural energy flowing through it, doesn't mean that he can regenerate, since it isn't senjutsu but sage mode, natural energy and just like I explained before both of them are different.:yeah:
