Sarutobi’s age in part one was 68-69, so he was 69 when he died. At the time Tsunade was 51. So there is an 18 years difference.

When Tsunade becomes a gennin, at age six (according to the 3rd Databook ), Sarutobi is already Hokage and aged twenty four. And not even in his beginning years as Hokage. Or he wouldn’t be settled enough just yet to take on a gennin team. So Tobirama has been dead for a while obviously. Which makes me terribly SAD because even if we say that happened two years prior (which would logically make sense as the war ended, Konoha took time to come to peaceful terms with the other villages and that would have been Sarutobi’s priority, then it would have taken him at least some months to get a proper grip of workings of the village, considering his age and to prove himself worthy of the position and all of this requires time), Tsunade would be four years old.

So how old was she when Hashirama died? Two? The flashbacks show that and even saying he taught her that at age of two is stretching it because as much faith as I have in Tsunade’s brilliance….it makes little sense. And this makes me want to strangle Kishimoto. Why must you make my life so confusing?

I stop caring about that. And the Manga and Databook conflict with each other.

Tsunade was 50 in part 1 not 51, which makes her a year old when hashi died XD

It's common knowledge that the Naruto timeline is terrible, there's this guy on narutoforums who mapped every event in the story on a timeline and it's a complete mess Kishimoto didn't plan his story properly.

Also, there is no way Hashirama should have known about Tsunade's strength.

The same type of issue arose with how old Obito was when he attacked the Leaf Village.

Tsunade in Hashi's flashback was about 2 years old. She looked a little older than a 1 year old.

Sarutobi was appointed Hokage when he was a teenager so it makes sense if Tsunade was a toddler during Hashi's flashback.

The manga and databook always seem to point in different directions. I wonder why is that?

Well when he spoke about teaching Tsunade about gambling, she looked extremely young, like younger than 4... Kishi doesn't care if it really makes sense to you or not, as long as it makes sense to him, his editors, and the majority of his fans.

Well according to Hashirama, 2 yo Tsunade is as strong as Sakura ( War Arc)

I'm thinking that it seems like the dead can see the living. The white fang seemed to loosely know about Kakashi. As well as the dead conversing on heaven. Who's to say that the Hokage and Jiraiya haven't all been talking.

Nah, Kakashi's dad couldn't see him, that's why he asked Kakashi to tell him about his life. And the only reason Minato saw what was happening is because he sealed his chakra in Naruto. Also, remember when Naruto met Nagato/Itachi on the battlefield? Nagato said it feels like he just died and no time passed at all.

My problem is the fact the we never got the answer on how Hashi died. Kishi gave him feats and hype in part 2 that should have made that highly unlikely.
