Neji vs his dad would have been good. He would haw got more development surrounding his 'caged bird' metaphors. His dad did a similar thing in protecting the main branch so Neji would have heard why he did it.

Would have actually put some weight behind why Neji dyed the way he did and it wouldn't have seemed so out of the blue...
