-He is from the Sarutobi clan so he has lots of potential.
-Learns jutsu very fast
-Took out a Pain with a rasengan (LOL)
-Has a dream to become hokage (and we all know how strong that makes people)

Even if that is filler, he does know Rasengan in canon and I can see him using the other two jutsu he used (Asuma's and Hiruzen's). Konohomaru is probably the strongest rookie of his age group, even though he's the only one who gets any attention and that we've seen anything from. Maybe Hinabi could go on par with him, how old is she now anyway? Does anyone even acknowledge her existence anymore?
